I too have had the many symptons that you have. I am more likely to get respitory infections which cause me the same symptons. I have been for the tests as well. They say that i can have the beginning of COPD-Cronic obstructive pulmonary decease(sorry for the spelling) which is common to smokers. I sometimes feel like i cant breath, tired and no energy.I also seen to have a lot of flem that i cant get rid of. Damm Cigs. I know that once i am on the medication for infection i do feel better, then i smoke again. how sick is that. My throat also gets try to were i gag sometimes. Your test may come back that you have what they call "Smokers Asthma" good luck and let me know what happens

I am also experiencing tightness in my chest but we are not in the same stage of our "walk" so I don't think it's the same thing. Either way, remember that you are changing your life and no matter what the result is, you can and will get through it. Relax, think of your family, and enjoy your quit. Celebrate the good and wait for the results. Hugs, T. Phillip this will be easier said than done, but try to not worry. Do something that does not involve concentration for the moment like watch TV or take a nap. Until the results come back just try to take care of yourself. Worrying will cause further anxiety, which will not help the symptoms you are having. Once you have knowledge of the facts/results, then you can determined what your next step will be. I will be sending positive thoughts and prayers your way. I can't stand waiting so long to get results back from the doctor. Drives me batty. I have to not make myself think about it. So much in this world is "Hurry up and Wait!" Blah! haha ... Oh well what can you do?! Relax ... or do like I do ... Keep us posted ... ... just dropping by to let you know I was thinkin' of ya! I am glad to hear that you are breathing better, my friend. I guess staying calm and relaxed is the best advice. Hi Philip, Sorry that you're not feeling 100%. I don't know if this will help but about 2 weeks ago, I woke up with a mild cold, but with the sore throat from hell. I read somwhere (could have been here!) that when you smoke, your body produces excess mucus to protect itself. So when you body gets used to its smokeless state, it 'dries up'. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but your mentality sounds a little similar to mine; I'm not saying that you're a hypochondriac, but you've just done the most positive thing in your life (healthwise), but you seem worried that you may have acted too late(?) I'm not a doctor (or even a vet), but I'm sure you'll be fine! Mr Ed :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/13/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 100 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,016 Amount Saved: 750 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 18 Mins: 18 Seconds: 42

Phillip- some of those symptoms here too. You know- uncommonly heavy pollen this year due to how dry this spring has been (Rochester, NY for me and ?Toronto for you?). I never get bothered by allergies, or just minimally, but this year is bad for everyone. Zero energy, headaches, etc. Even I must admit (with my immensely optomistic attitude...yeah right!), sometimes it's not due to no longer smoking! Just a thought. Hope your pft is good. :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 95 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,827 Amount Saved: $855 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 17 Mins: 19 Seconds: 47
