Thanks boxer, lynne, Stef, Kita and Sue! I think I can believe even deeper now in my quit being forever. Each hurdle is it's own reward in a way. Confidence. I wish much more of it to all of us each day - (and hope I don't piss too many people off in the process:)
Good night,
mk

MK, I know it is hard, and JOhn and I had our moments beleve me - whew, it was bad sometimes. I remember chanting - I love this man, I love this man, etc....quitting is the hardest thing I have ever done.
and in doing so you might have to be selfish MK and he might just have to understand that. THat is what I meant, protect that quit if it means pissing people off so be it. I annoyed plenty. I was sent home from work!!! But I never waivered, I just kept going.
So can you MK. I am sending you all my hugs, I know it is so hard, but it is worth it and it gets easier. I promise.
Sue

Mamakitty,
You are doing great and PAPAK is just going to have to learn to deal with it. I been doing much more with friends since my quit. Seems before it was easier to sit home where I could smoke in peace now I want to do things because I don't have to worry where I can smoke.
A few beers with a friend is a good reward

Thanks ImaQuitter, You're right. I'm a non-smoker (feels SOOOO good to type that:) Time will tell whether PK supports me or not... and you know what? I think I can still tell myself that it's not the best thing for me:) Self worth is worth a LOT:)
Sue and John, I'll protect my quit. Thank you for the great thoughts/re-enforcement. Relationships are first and toughest, but nothing close to the best without my promise to quit. No one will ever know the difference if I don't provide the example. It's hard sometimes. You two are amazing in your dual quits. Amazing!
Unhooked... your advice and thoughts are always timely... I just love you. Especially in times like these...

Well of course he's special, mk, he got YOU, didn't he? It's hard for non-smokers or sometimes even long-time quitters, to understand how difficult this can be.
That's why we have each other. Hang in.
