I guess we were writing at the same time Lauren, your words helped, 21 is a great age, how I wish I could turn back the clock but that is not possible, I am trying to be strong Lauren, I am trying so badly, it just seems like the worry and fear and panic are stronger and it angers me so much, do you ever get totally exhausted after panicking all day, I spend the day panicking and the night so depressed and weepy and tired from panicking, its a vicious cycle. I will try to be strong, I have not been lately. Thank you, Deb..

Debbie I was in the middle of emptying my dishwasher and ran up to the computer to check and make sure you were doing okay. I am 21 and married with no kids yet. I think I drive my husband crazy sometimes too. He has been a huge help though. I hope when you husband comes back he is calmer and you can talk. Try to make understand. He doesn't have to know how you feel but atleast try to get him to realize that this worry is how you cope with things. You have every reason to be worried, with you son's problems. The thought of bringing a disabled child into this world is very worrysome. These are my exact words to my husband when i don't think he is following me, "I know I worry to much but I can not help it. I am trying but I need you to be there for me." All this emotion just takes its toll after awhile. My little sister has a history of deep depression and our family life was so stressful that it caused me to move out at 18 and fight alot with them all. It tears families apart. But now that her situtation is under control, we are a super close family. Families go through phases like this. In a few months, things will get better. Just keep thinking that its a phase and it will pass. Be strong Debbie!!!

Lauren, I am sorry I forgot to answer you question, my family lives in Ohio, my MOther died 4 years ago from complications due to surgery she had a pitutary gland tumor the surgeon knicked her brain stem she went into a coma and never came out of it, it was devasting for our family, I miss her everyday, she was my best friend, that probably is why I am so doctor-phobic. My Dad and I are not really close, we never have been, he was not very nice to me as a little girl, I have a few friends but I think the panic freaks them out, so I try to keep it hidden, my sister and Aunt are there for me {in Ohio, I am in Florida} but thats a long way away, so I am pretty much on my own, fear and panic can do strange things to the body. I hope you are feeling better Lauren, God bless, Thanks, Debbie.

Lauren, I am so very sorry for your loss. I also had a miscarriage several years ago before my son was born, the doctor said to wait 6 months and try again, he said most women have at least one miscarriage, some do not even know, just a heavy clotty slightly late period. I will pray that you conceive again, I know you will and carry to term. Thanks for responding to me, my husband just took off in our car with our son, he has drank about 8 beers and I am now worried to death about him driving with my small son, he said I "drove him to drink" I am very angry he would get behind the wheel with our son, now I guess my panic is valid, I just pray they return safely. I have a special-needs son and I am 44, its not that I did not want another baby Lauren, its just I am so scared about downs-syndrome etc... also my husband has been exposed to radation and asbestos at work and the Doc said that is probably the cause of my son disablities, I assured my husband it is not, I do not want him to have guilt. How old are you Lauren, are you married with any kids yet {I am sure you will have one soon if not} this site really helps this has been a really bad day, Good Friday to boot and it seems like everything is falling apart, I cannot believe my husband would drink and drive like that with my son with him, it just increases my worry and panic and thats probably his intent. I will be looking forward to hearing from you Lauren, thank you for your kind kind words. Debbie.

Debbie, I am so sorry you feel so alone. It is very hard for people to understand this feeling. Your husband should be there for you. But I am sure he is just as worried and frustrated as you are but shows it in a different way. You worry and get anxiuos and he deals with it by being angry. When you are down it is easy to feel alone. Do you have any supportive family or friends?

Debbie, I think it is quite possible that you could be starting to go through the "change." And the first responses are great. I actually had a positive test with one of those the day my period was supposed to come, back in November. I miscarried in January though. Those tests are the most sensitive to the HCG. You seem stressed out (duh, aren't we all?) and I think this is why your period is so late. Also, I think if you explain how upset you are, maybe the office will see you or atleast send you for blood work. There are blood tests that can detect if meno is approaching. I hope this helps. I know when something as simple as your cycle goes weird, its hard to deal with. I hate change. It freaks me out. I am no doctor but I hope this helped. In a few days you will have some answers from a doctor and being feeling great.

Thanks Grace, I just have to get it into my mind there is no preg ectopic or not. My husband just blew up at me in front of my child, he swore yelled and screamed, he just crushed me, the time I am so very very scared and he turns on me, if he would just take me into his arms and hold and comfort me and tell me everything will be alright and that he will help me, but instead he lashed out hate and discontent. I am so very scared something is terribly wrong with my body, the medical help I have recieved conflicts and confuses me more. My stomach hurts morning noon and night, and my husband just destroyed any hope I had left, he told me how bad I look and everything else, if he was hurting and scared I would not act like this, I feel very alone, I now understand why people just give up, my meds have failed me and now the man I love, the only thing I have to hold on to is my son, but I am not even doing that good. I just want someone to tell me its going to alright and I am going to be alright. Deb

Debbie, you should be able to get a pos or neg at this point on a urine test.

Lauren, Debbie again, Do you feel confident about the "first response urine test" after 12 or 13 days of a missed period should it be accurate? Thank you, Debbie
