Sorry I missed your post yesterday, Sherry... hope today is a little easier for you. Brenna's 4 Ds says it all for me... I lived on dealing with cravings with those actions and distractions...

Hey Sherry!!!

This site and mindless distractions were what got a lot of us though the first couple of weeks!!!  Another thing is Positive self speak!!!  Keep telling yourself that you ARE a non smoker!!!  You are in a fight for your life and this is one fight that you cannot afford to lose!!!  You are stronger that the nico-demom!!!  Positive thoughts like these and distractions will help you to get through this!!!   Post if you need us!!!

Sherry,

Keep on finding ways to distract yourself.  Use the 4 D's; drink water, delay, distract and deep breath. Be extra nice to yourself and start planning some rewards for your 10 day celebration and your two week (DONE Hell and Heck week) celebration.

Distractions work really well. Walking, cleaning out closets, drawers, anything that will keep you focus until the crave
is easier to deal with.   A hot bath sounds wonderfully relaxing.  Things will be better tomorrow and we are here for you...

Hi Sherry

Take a deep breath, take another and another but don’t faint, relax, relax. We are with you and these are among the toughest of days however I have heard this said, if you can quit for a week you CAN remain smoke free and it looks like you have done that.

Some find distractions in cleaning up stuff.  It is whatever distractions work for you.  You may have found a distraction worth expanding on.  Craves will come, craves will go, ignore them use your distractions.  Let’s get pass this tough stuff.  Find you way to bed early tonight and tell yourself tomorrow morning just how strong and wonderful you are.

Stickin To It
