You are one of my favorite people here, simply because I hear how tightly your emotional states are tied to nicotine. I understand. Believe me I truly understand...However, and this will sound trite and common, but it is true "SMOKING NEVER SOLVED A PROBLEM"...What it does is allows us to sink deeper inside of ourselves so that we don't have to feel the rage, hurt, anger, sadness or whatever emotion is being raised by external stimuli...It numbs us, creates a void between the uncomfortable feelings and us...But I tell you as true as I am able, that you have the capacity to weather any emotional upheaval sans the nicotine.
When hard times come around, don't reach for the nicotine to shield you from the rain. Have faith in yourself, and recognize that what you are feeling is just that which you are feeling. It is no more than a passing emotional shower. It will end. If you use nicotine as an umbrella against the down pour you will end your existance on the planet earlier than need be. And you know what, the rain will stop just the same...
