Marie,
Faithfreedom has been using Chantix and she is the one who knows how it feels to let it go...she had a post on it the other day. Very informative.
She said she was a bit edgy for a couple of weeks, but that it did ease up and she is fine now.
I haven't stopped taking the Chantix since I started on it Dec 24.
Let's look at it logically...we haven't smoked? so...the nicotine is gone! We should not have withdrawal symptoms at all. What we may experience is nervousness, because the Chantix is a brain medication.
Our Doctors will be able to help if we need them, but pay attention to how you feel. I've already confronted my Dr with the what if then?
I go back to see him March 30 and we will discuss how I am feeling. My concerns are with depression. After my cold-turkey quit years ago, I had severe depression and my family doctor helped me get up and get moving to work myself out of it.
I volunteered as a teacher's aid, I took an adult typing course, I started exercising, and I finally enrolled in a vocational school and became a licensed Cosmetologist.
...and I did need help...I couldn't even carry on a conversation without crying.
I'm ready for it now...should it happen. I will never smoke again...I don't care what it takes to keep this Quit...it's happening.
