Sit in a chair, relax your muscles, and imagine a tidal wave of water washing over you and washing the stress away with it. It can move over slowly, and while it does, relax each part of your body as it goes over. This one can be helpful.

I've tried meditation, and my mind is just too busy. If you figure out how to shut down the thoughts, let me know! I'd love to be able to practice it, but just haven't been very successful.
I did have a massage today, that was quite nice and relaxing, and now I'm sitting here wrapped in a blanket like a little queen bee. It's so cold here. I'm so glad I no longer have to go into the cold garage for a cig.
