MACE It does get easier!!!! You're in the worst of it right now. Within a few days it will be way easier, because the nicotine will be out of your body. Drink lots of water to help that along. Breathe...deeply and often...lol Distract yourself..with exercise, a walk outside, a movie, a good book, a phone call, a shower, or a nap. You are doing one of the hardest things you will ever do, so pamper yourself a little. Rest when you feel like it. It might help to keep track of the craves, so you can find the patterns or triggers. Just keep telling yourself you might want a cigarette, but you will not smoke, because you are a nonsmoker now. and just remember Not One Puff Ever and you will be fine -aloha My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/22/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 112 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,480 Amount Saved: $761.60 Life Gained: Days: 15 Hrs: 16 Mins: 54 Seconds: 17

Hi MACE. Yeah, the first few days can be really grueling BUT you are doing this! By the end of today you'll have TWO DAYS under your belt and will be well on your way. Grab hold of that quit meter girl because you've already added 5 hours onto your life. The longer you make it the more of your life you are literally taking back! Distract yourself however you need to. Take a walk, take a bath, watch a movie or just go to bed early. This won't last forever and it does get oh so much better. Do you have some rewards planned? They are really important, especially this first week. You are doing great. Hang tough :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/5/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1071 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 21,420 Amount Saved: $4,819.50 Life Gained: Days: 81 Hrs: 19 Mins: 0 Seconds: 0

I am having a bad afternoon here. I did pretty good until this afternoon. I am not sure what set my craving off so bad but something sure has. I will not give in to it. I want to do this so bad that it makes me mad when I get a craving for something that I know is bad for me. I have to be stronger than this thing. I pray that it gets easier with each day and that I get stronger each day to fight this.
