I posted earlier today how I was having a really hard time. I thought it would get easier throughout the day but it has only gotten worse. I thought it was getting easier but then WHAM, here somes today. Any advise on how to relieve stress and anxiety I am all ears.

Okay so I figured out why yesterday was so tough for me...I was also having withdrawals symptoms from not drinking caffine. Apparently the fatigue I have been feeling and the muscle tightness is due to the fact that I havent had a cup of coffee or caffeine in 3 days. Opps...I think I will take this quiting thing one at a time.

April,
Hope you saw some bright spots in your day today.
You are at the point where you will swing back and forth. Sort of like two good days.. one sort of bad day..then a good day..then a hard morning...but easy evening. It's weird...but it does get less and less.
Remember ... it is easier to go through the process of quiting... than to go through the process of dying.
lots of support
Mercy

Hi April,
I know about that anxiety mess. It has been kicking my butt all over the place. But, I'm doing the opposite. IF I drink caffeine, I get slammed and dunked with anxiety attacks. BAD!!! We're all different. I do know that a cig won't help.
April, you have one heck of a quit going there. I wish I was where you are right now. Hang in there and breathe in deep and slow through your nose and exhale slowly out of your mouth. That anxiety can be so exhausting so get some rest....as much as you can.

Wow you know you have done the most important part of the work here...You have broken the chain...The chain of addiction is what keeps us prisoners of nicotine...The odd thing about all of this is that we are both the jailer and the prisoner...You need to take time for yourself right now and drink water, rest, exercise or any other activity that you find enjoyable...There are many things for you to do...the great thing is there is only one that you must not do and that is light up.
Don't undo your hard work by creating a new link in the chain that you have so bravely severed...Drink lots and lots and lots of water...
Keep busy and stay well...

Hi April - I didn't get on here last night so I'm a day late. There are some rough patches for the first 3 weeks (In fact, exhaustion was something I experienced even WITH caffeine) The good news is that it gets better with time.
Congrats on making it through the day. Hope you are doing okay today??

Gonna's right, April. Don't smoke. These cravings, while miserable, are only TEMPORARY. Think of how good you'll feel for not giving in.
Make a cup of tea, watch some tv, nap if you have to, and breathe as deeply and slowly as you can. I found that to really help.
Hang in there, it only gets better.
Cheers, Jan
