it's true the excitement of quitting will pass and leave in it's place a void of sorts. Like "what now"?? or "been there, done that" what's the next step?
planning treats is great, but you also need to use "instant rewards".
one thing I did that made me realize something.....it brought home what quitting really meant???? I was with a grandkid and they took off running across a big parking lot.....they yelled "come on!!" and by gum I RAN!! I could Never run when I smoked! I could hardly walk uphill! I ran across that lot and had lots of air left in me!! it unfolded before me like a miracle of sorts!
when you are hit by thoughts or longings for what you think you are missing.....do something physical! Bring home what NOT smoking really means....jump rope, run in place.....even if you get out of breath....you can still BREATH....you don't cough a lung up....you are healing!! and then treat yourself....cause YOU are worth it!

Valic,
Congrats on such great success! Take that you day and enjoy this achievement and know that you are doing it! Start doing things for yourself and know you don't want to go back. Are you keeping occupied?
It is ok to get our those coping mechanisms, they will help push you through :)
