Oh, my dear Bear if this is your firt and last quit celebrate!! I have quit and started so many times my head spins. Why would you ever want to go though hell, heck and all those other days again. Believe the me it is not any fun. Yes you get excited about the quit because you know the benefits of stopping, but then you smoke and you get the benefits of angony and I do mean angony. My husband put them down over four years ago and never looked back. How I wish my quits would have been that easy. I have spent a small foutune trying to quit. Someone posted here and I hope I get this right. "When you are smoking, you are thinkg about quitting and when you are quit you think about smoking." I want to get to where smoking is a forgotten memory. I am taking this quit one day at a time, no looking forward, just looking at what I can do at this moment and it is working. Thanks for the post. Correct me if I'm wrong but it appears that the people who experience the most difficult times recovering from their addiction to nicotine also experience the greatest rewards from recovery which makes me a little bit jealous. Some have stated that it's like being reborn if you will ?? Which makes me even more envious. :mad It's enough to make a fellow start smoking again just so he can go through hell week again !!! NOT ;p My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/20/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 123 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,214 Amount Saved: $1,230.00 Life Gained: Days: 28 Hrs: 3 Mins: 4 Seconds: 27
