Permananent relief from panic and depression

Hi Kelli i'm interested to hear what you said. I suggest that phoning him so many times, reaching for a bottle of scotch and constantly emailing him were the exact behaviours he was suggesting were not helpful. You don't need constant encouragement. What happened to you that was so bad? You has some intense feelings because you confronted your anxiety. sounds like you began confronting the anxiety but by phoning him were taking it seriously and validating it rather than diverting your thoughts into hobbies work and recreation. It felt bad yes, but when you learn to take no notice of that and do something else bit by bit it goes away. It doesn't take years. The mind is a malleable thing as any Neuro scientist, hypnotherapist, Neurolinguistic programmer or meditator will tell you. As for giving it away for free. How many shrinks, pharmaceutical companies, psychologists or therapists or anyone for that matter work for free? How would he pay his workforce and produce the manuals and cds.? I used to pay more for one session than i did for the Linden method. Also Danielle it isn't a miracle cure. Its cutting edge therapy based on scientific fact and yes it involves work but its alot easier and quicker than conventional methods. It scared the **** out of me to begin with but i realised that it was just a misplaced reation and when i got on with it and ignored it, it left fast. If you do it properly i GUARANTEE it works. He's been there i've been there, wasted nine years of my life on depression and anxiety. At one point i thought i would never leave the house again without being terrified. In turn i was terrified of being terrified, terrified of what i had become, terrified that i would never not be terrifed etc etc ad infinitum. Best regards Dunc

I like the way you think Callie. I really peeves me off that IF someone had THE answer, and was holding out to make a stinking buck...that would suck. Bottom line is...it takes time, and ACTION. You can't sit by and WAIT to be panic free, it ain't going to happen. It won't leave as suddenly as it came on. It takes a lot of work to rid oneself of this condition - there ain't no miracle cure! I there was, I'd have been cured MANY YEARS ago. Cheers, Danielle

Hi everybody i am new to the site my nameis kelli and i have tried the linden method. I dont want to put anybody off but the linden method really made me worst i put all my hopes into it. I really believed charles andhis 9 pillars. He promised to email me every week to check my progress i never got one email i even phoned him. After doing the programme it didnt seam to work on one cd it tells yu you controll your panic next time you have an attack make it worse see how itbelongs to you. What he forgot to tell me was onc you have made it worse how do you calm down. The only way i could was reaching for a bottle of whisky. When he started to ignore me aftewr 5 emals to his office i felt really down and angry at one point i felt suicidal. The next day i was so mad at what he had done ( or lack of it) i sent him an email stating how bad i have been how i never recived one email of incoragement once he had got my money ( im in england so it cost me £200)I stated i was going to sue him and go to the press and guess what he phoned me and told me to keep the pack and he would give me a full refund if anybody wants more info let me know it took me 2 mths to ge my money back but what i lost in self esteme and stress is priceless i felt like a vunerable person being used

If the "Charles" knows how to rid ones-self of anxiety because he has "Been there", you would think he would be glad to share his knowledge free of charge. I know if I had the magic cure, I would gladly share it with all who are suffering. Callie

Dunc I'm really interested in this programme. I notice that you said your problem was preoccupation with death and that is mine. I think I'm going to die all the time. It obviously worked for you. Can you tell me a bit about how much it has helped you. Many thanks

P.s. It may opinion that making coming off meds is a better long term goal i waited until i was ina much better place and then did it very slowly. I was on paroxetine and its notorious for being a ***** to get off. Don't just stop! You don't NEED the meds but its less bumpy taking you time, they can make you feel anxious in their own right. If you just stopped we would probably have to s****e you off the ceiling. I came off when i was feeling 90% better i knew it might be uncomfortable but it wasn't bad at all. Anyways get the doc to supervise.:)

I'm glad people are finding it interesting. I agree that its scary stepping out of the comfort zone. For me it was more scary to live my life in fear. I constantly thought of death etc. I don't think thats a way to live. It is a little tough but then change is one of the hardest things we sometimes need to do. I have a friend whose an alcoholic with pancreatitis and cirosis of the liver. I just saw him in the pub. Change isn't easy. The important thing is that you are safe they are only feelings that will pass in a matter of a few weeks leaving you peaceful. Much of the time (although diversion is tough at first) you will be learning to be absorbed in hobbies work etc etc and the feelings will become easy to cope with (becasue they're only feelings), then less obtrusive, then less relevant down to the point where you won't have them aaahhh. As for logging out of the group why not exchange email addresses and share the new experieces you are having. Anxiety is a huge part of your life now. The way to make it a smaller part is to replace it with something else. Doesn't mean you can't just mention ur finding it tough or you've had a bad day. It's just you don't need to talk about the bad feelings or scary ones because you know that its just anxiety ur fine and getting better. Don't give the feelings the credit of talking about them and your body and mind will realise they are redundant :)
