Hi: I experienced small shock-like happenings in my eyes when moving them quickly and also in my head. Most of the time they happened when I was out walking the dog. Anytime SSRI changed - lower dosage for instance, I noticed this happened. I did mention to doctor but she didn't seem to understand, or know anything about it. I think it was the tapering off and now that I am off medication SSRI, no more little shocks. It only lasted about 6 wks. or so. Hang in there, it will pass.
Nice to meet you. I don't know if your shocks are similar to mine, but I've had some shocks that happen when ever I move my eyes. It was hard for me to describe but its like a slight jolt and I feel like I'll fall after that. This happened to me when I was withdrawing from my SSRIs. Are you doing that? It can be a withdrawal symptom or even a side effect from medications. Do you take medications?
Take the time to check with your doctor to rule out anything medical. Keep a daily journal and make sure you record the pains exactly when they come. You can use this information to help you and your doctor pinpoint why this may be happening, is it anxiety and what may or may not be causing this.
Do take the time to read the knowledge within the site, as it will also give you a better understanding of what you are going through.
I started to experience this few seconds of small shock in the chest or heart don't know. I have called the emergency before and told them that i have panic attacks if it's related or should i get myself checked out. They said if it persists i should call the emergency. And they also said that there are lots of nerve endings on the chest that could be causing it!!! Who knows
It is anyway a very strange feeling, i don't have severe chest pain, but these tiny shocks, pokes on the chest freak me out. I have these very rarely though!
Does anyone here felt it and know what it might be and what i can do to avoid it?
