Hi Change_InProgress, Some members have had to follow the steps below to correctly install the CBT buddies: 1- Delete any version of the CBT Messenger you currently have 2- Download the following URL http://download.microsoft.com/download/a/a/c/aac39226-8825-44ce-90e3-bf8203e74006/dotnetfx.exe 3- Download the CBT Messenger To delete what you have currently installed, please go to your "control panel" which you can access from your start menu. Then you should be able to access "Add or Remove Programs", which will allow you to delete the program. If you need any further help please contact us via the feedback at the bottom of the page, and we will be able to assist you. Casey _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

I am doing the panic program, but what is funny is that I hadn't even seen the article that's up here about anxious thoughts until after the thoughts I was having. I'm still quite frustrated because I need the proper therapy, etc. to get over the 'hump' which is my attitude I guess. It's just that my head feels like it's going to explode when I have to keep monitoring my inner dialogue while I am trying to concentrate on other things. On a tangent, how do I uninstall the CBT program from my computer? I tried to delete it from my desktop and it won't go away. the only reason i want it to is that my comp. doesn't have the proper software for it. Anyway, thanks for responding.

Hi Change_InProgress, This is interesting insight into how you have been feeling. You may find that you can apply this situation as you work through our panic program. Casey _______________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

I think I do understand what you are saying, and this habit of thinking is also causing me to avoid situations. For fear of having a panic attack...

Hi: If when you say black and white you mean there's no middle ground-that happens to me all the time and it's cause for great anxiety to me. This is exactly what causes me to avoid situations and places which i don't know if it's ever good. The fear of a panic attack, though, is much stronger than the need to find out if confronting that situation or that place again will be ok. I don't know if I'm being clear?

Today, as i was having anxious thoughts at school, I started wondering what my panic has to do with 'black and white' thinking. It started with the thought that if I left class for a few minutes (avoidance), I would not be able to come back and feel better. It occurred to me (when I left) that I may have a problem with the way I see things, which is probably usually in 'black and white.' Has anyone had this kind of experience...is a litte 'avoidance'ever okay?
