HOW DO YOU REALLY KNOW ITS PANIC/ANXIETY/STRESS

Thanks for the support and advice. It is so hard to think it is 'only' anxiety when the symptoms are so overwhelming. What a life we have to live. Why cant I be so carefree like I used to be!

vickers, Thank you for sharing your coping mechanisms. Maybe we can all share our stories. No one is alone. Take Care, Melanie _____________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hey Ann! What I constantly have to remind myself is this: There is no such disease where the symptoms either disappear or fade simply by being preoccupied with something else. If you notice, when you're not anxious, these feelings go away or lessen. If you're busy doing something or you're talking and laughing with someone or you are in your safe place, these feelings always either disappear or become less noticeable. There is no disease on this entire planet where the symptoms go away when you stop thinking about it. Hope that helps!

Hi ann, I can totally relate to you. the doctors in the ER probably know me by name. I am totally convinced that I will either have a heart attack or die of a brain anurysm. Just remember that Anxiety and panic disorder will not hurt you. mentally yes, but physically no.

Hi Ann, I can really relate to what you are saying as I cannot understand that we can have this for no reason, I am so insecure with it and have been of work for a week because of feeling so bad I get the strangest of feelings that I don't think are possible to have sometimes I feel like I gonna have an out of body expereince or something that really scares me does anyone else every feel like this. i feel os spongy all over all day long as well. I have just been to my docs and asked for some routine blood tests as I have not had any for several years to see if everything normal.

Hi ann! Yes i can relate to you. I'm sure we all can. I alwayssss think its something else, from cancer to heart problems to this to that. The list goes on and on. Its so tiring for me to keep thinking these things....it makes me so frustrated. But all in all, its anxiety. Cause i too have been back and forth to the doctors...and its basically just anxiety. Do not under estimate what anxiety can do...it can make us feel and think negative things. Just try to accept that its just anxiety and promise yourself that u will work on it. hope i helped a bit. smile :)

Hi ann, Welcome to the site. I think that you will see that the tools and information available to you here may help to answer your question. If you look to the left of the screen under "TOOLS" you will find many supportive tests. These tests are not diagnostic tools and are not a replacement or substitute for a physicians advice. The purpose of these tests is to prepare you with information that you can present to your physician. When youre finished the test, you can either print your Final Report or email it directly to your doctor. We also have developed a Panic Program. This program is 12-weeks and involves the tools mentioned above. Each session is based on the previous session, so we strongly advise that you work slowly through the program and not jump ahead. If you have any questions or concerns with our "TOOLS" you can contact our support department at support@paniccenter.net. Looking forward to hearing from you soon! I have been having panic attacks for 5 years now. I have good days and bad. My anxiety is with me 24/7 though. How do I know that it really is anxiety and not some other 'disease'. I have these thoughts constantly which makes my symptoms worse. I know it is a vicious circle, but I am never 100% convinced that it is 'just' anxiety. All the symptoms point to anxiety and panic, but how do I know for sure, as some symptoms overlap with other things. I have been to the doctors numerous times and am told it is stress/anxiety/panic. I feel like a hypercondriac. Please help??? Does anyone else feel like this - and if so how do you deal with it. Thank you for reading this.
