Dear Khris, I missed you so much, I was concerned when you e-mailed me that you were not feeling well, I am glad you are back but not happy about the circumstances. I am having a really rough time. Its been so hard Khris. Please post me back. God bless, Debbie.

I am so happy to hear about your success. Did you have any side effects from the lexapro? So the thoughts that made you anxious didn't happen or they didn't make you anxious? So overall you feel is was the drug that helped you, not the therapy? (Sorry to be picking your brain here, this is just very interesting to me!)

Oh my...I had some massive panic attacks on a daily basis and the anxiety was just hell. It started in 10/2003. i had been seeing a shrink for help and doing everything i could to just try and have a normal day. I took Xanax daily and it only helped with the panic attack, not the longer term anxiety. Yes, I did the Lexapro 20mg EVERY DAY without quitting. I stuck it out through the beginning when you feel almost worse! I just kept on and in about 3 weeks (or less) things started going away and I just kept on taking the Lexapro. In less than a month everything was gone..I felt fine and normal all summer long. In Sept, I stopped the Lexapro (shame on me)...and then the hurricaneS and the anxiety is back. I am DEFINANTLY going to get back on the Lexapro!

Hello, welcome back here- sorry to hear of your hard times, it must be devastating. Is your home/community okay? I am excited to hear from someone who feels like they went into a remmission! What was the main anxiety you battled with? Did taking Lexapro alone help? While you were in remission- did you have bad thoughts or did you just deal with them more effectively? If you got to the point of remission once you should be confident that you can do it again. :) Take care

Hi all! i have missed this place like crazy. I went into somewhat remission over the summer and was doing great. However; lately I have been having a hard time. Part of this is we had to evacuate for the hurricane Rita and it was a AWFUL TERRIBLE experience and it tossed me into full panic mode. I have been having a hard time since then. The anxiety is okay, dealing with it...but the panic is awful. I have still been taking the Xanax but got off the Lexapro (shame on me) and I know I need to start it again. It truly helped me and I am sure that is what put my panic disorder into remission was getting on it and the key...STAYING ON IT!!!! Anyway, I had lost my log in and I am glad to make it back to you all. :confuse:
