Can Antibiotic make you sick

for 19 år siden 0 189 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
There are different types of seizures, and if you have any kind- you'll know, there will be no question. There are common side effects, and rare side effects. Maybe you are experiencing the rarer ones. How much longer do you have left, my advice would be to finish or you will be back at square one. I googled less official websites of the drug, more like a message boards of people's comments they had on the drug. Everyone experience ALOT of things. Remember these symptoms are temporary.

Allison, I am still waiting for the nurse to call back. Along with the headache my lips and face are "tingling" like little electric shocks, I can handle the nausa, loose stools, and dizziness, this headache tingling and vision blurring is scaring me so much, I am SO afraid to take the 6:00 pm dose, what is a seizure? Am I having symptoms of one, this tingling cannot be good, its not listed on common side effects, I do not know what to do, I do not want the UTI back but I do not want to have a seizure of stroke! I am so upset, I finally thought I was going to feel and get better. Deb.

okay, found this, little less scary. YES reactions occur, NO they won't kill you, you have to get through this to get better. The most frequently reported side events are nausea or vomiting (1 out of every 12 persons), diarrhea (1 out 20), headache (1 out 20), and constipation (1 out of 30). Less common side effects include difficulty sleeping, dizziness, abdominal pain, rash, abdominal gas, and itching.

My sweet angle Allison, thank you. This antibotic is very different from Amoxicillian, that cause a little nausea and diareaha, which I expected, but this horrible headache {I am actually have sharp shooting pains in my head} and tingling is scaring me, I woke up with it so I know its not anxiety or I am imagining it, it actually woke me up early the headache was so bad. I am scared to take it scared not too, I do not want to have a seizure, I can take the other side effects but thats so scary and of course I am alone with my son, but I am pretending I am fine. God bless, Debbie.

I think the 'cure is worse than the illness' concept only really applies to something like chemotherapy. Millions of people take this, if severe effects were remotely common it would be off the market. Yes, antibiotics can make you sick, but you're not gonna die from some rare effect. Keep taking this, the the bacteria from your UTI will not be eradicated and grow stronger.

Just take it and get it over with, sometimes just reading what the symptoms are help your brain think them. Tingling lips would probably from a allergic reaction, if it was severe it would of started quickly. Take this , or you'll end up on something even more powerful.

Found this on the internet, sounds like it can cause a lot of stuff. Stick with and finish it or your infection can come back worse. Hang in there, it will be over soon! Here's what I found: How should I take Levaquin? Take Levaquin exactly as directed by your doctor. If you do not understand these instructions, ask your pharmacist, nurse, or doctor to explain them to you. Take each dose with a full glass of water (8 ounces). Drink several extra glasses of fluid each day to prevent the formation of Levaquin crystals in the urine. Levaquin may be taken with or without food. Take Levaquin at evenly spaced intervals. Do not take antacids that contain magnesium or aluminum (e.g., Tums or Rolaids), the ulcer medicine sucralfate (Carafate), or vitamin or mineral supplements that contain iron or zinc for a minimum of 2 hours before or 2 hours after a dose of Levaquin. Taking antacids, sucralfate, or vitamin or mineral supplements too close to a dose of Levaquin can greatly decrease the effects of the antibiotic. Take all of the Levaquin that has been prescribed for you even if you begin to feel better. Your symptoms may start to improve before the infection is completely treated. Store this medication at room temperature away from moisture and heat. What happens if I miss a dose? Take the missed dose as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and take only the next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication unless otherwise directed by your doctor. What happens if I overdose? Seek emergency medical attention. The most common symptom of a Levaquin overdose is seizures. What should I avoid while taking Levaquin? Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight. Levaquin may increase the sensitivity of the skin to sunlight, and a severe sunburn may result. If sun exposure is unavoidable, wear protective clothing and sunscreen. Call your doctor if you experience severe burning, redness, itching, rash, or swelling after exposure to the sun. Use caution when driving, operating machinery, or performing other hazardous activities. Levaquin may cause dizziness. If you experience dizziness, avoid these activities.

Why did I Google??!! Apparently this Levaquin can cause severe migraines {I have a horrible headache} then a seizure in some cases! I called the office and waiting for a callback, I can take the nausea and tiredness but this headache is scaring me to death, now I think I am going to have a seizure. I woke up with this terrible headache, I have alot of symptoms but normally I do not suffer from headaches, can an antibotic really cause a seizure??! I am shocked that an antibotic can, I feel "tingling" in my head and face and lips, I am not going to take this till I talk to the nurse, you would think an antibotic would be safe, now I am afraid of seizures, I feel very funky, like I have the flu, its almost like the "cure is worse than the illness" any help please. God bless, Debbie.

I am on day 3 of antibotic treatment for a kidney UTI infection, I have taken Amoicillian, the nurse put me on one called "Levaquin" its very strong potent, I have one more day on it. I have a question can this antibotic or any similar make you feel ill?? The urinary tract seems to be clearing up, now I feel naucous, drowsy and little dizzy, it must be strong just to be taken 4 days instead of the usual 10!! I have a really bad headache from it, I keep saying "Debbie you are not having a stroke" "You are NOT having a stroke" I do not even want to take it this evening because of the side-effects, would it hurt just to take it in the morning instead of tonight? I guess so. Has anyone ever taken "Levaquin" I would of prefered a med that I had taken. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you so much. Debbie.
