Hi Chris and welcome. I have been on Zoloft since about Sept of last year. I will say that I was blessed because it was the first medication I tried and it worked. However, it did take some time for the full effect to kick in--several weeks. While I was getting use to the Zoloft I took Klonopin at night to help me. (My attacks that led to medication were occuring at night.) Now I really feel better. I have had an occasional attack since weaning from the Klonopin but I only need to take the Klonopin about once or twice a month. I have even woken up in the night in the middle of an attack and been able to pray, calm myself and get back to sleep. It can get better. You said you were saved at age 30. I hope you are with a good Bible believing church and have some support. I know that has helped me a lot. It reminds me that this is all temporary. (Of course, be cautious of any church that says you do not need any medication. Some churches can be a little extreme.) Some of my favorite verses are Psalm 91 (I'm in the process of memorizing the whole psalm), Psalm 55:22and Psalm 56:3. I have also found that spending at least a half hour a day in Bible reading and prayer really helps. It focuses my mind on what I should be thinking about, not the anxiety problems. God Bless.

Hey Chris, I am also on Zoloft -- it takes time for your body to get used to the medication. Perhaps, you can discuss this with your doctor. Hang in there -- you will be fine! Best, B
