Hi slinky, I can understand your worry. I recently and am still going through this with my neck hurting all the time and found out it was bone spurs, which physcially therapy will help. Yours could just be anxiety, but if it continues you may want to check with your doctor. A good friend of mine legs hurt all the time and she also has bone spurs which was putting pressure on a nerve apparently, her situation sounded a lot like yours. Most cases it very treatable with physically therapy. If it does happen to be spurs, you could can into physically therapy and alleviate the pain and it would also lessen your worry about your symptoms, even if it is anxiety, at least you'll know what's causing it. Slinky is right, exercising may help tremendously. Don't let it keep worrying you, go to the doctor if you need to so your mind will be at ease. Take care, Becky

Slinky - I think we tend to worry about the muscular grief we have more because it doesn't seem to be one of the common anxiety symptoms. Heart palps and stuff seem to be the big things people discuss. I haven't meant many people who experience a lot of muscle grief over their anxiety. I think its all related to muscle tension. Maybe it would make you feel better to talk to a doc about it? I am seeing a neurologist right now to ease my mind about it. AP

I'm going to look at the panic program today. I'm just fed up with waking up in the morning and feeling like my legs are so stif and heavy after not eally doing anything! I know in the back of my mind that there is nothing wrong with my legs but theres always that feeling in the back of your head that what if theres something wrong this time!! Its ruining my life and I just want it to stop!!

Slinky - I get all kinds of bodily symptoms, and they all cause huge anxiety for me. Sometimes both of my legs feel stiff or "useless", sometimes its both arms. Sometimes, it my whole right side, face and all! Its hard to figure out what comes first - is the anxiety causing the symptoms, or are the symptoms causing the anxiety? I am seeing a neurologist for my symptoms just to be on the safe side because until I see some tests, I cannot just take a doctor's word for it that its all just nerves! Its hard to believe that your nerves can cause so much physical sensation. If your legs feel weak, then challenge yourself and run up and down stairs by two's or something to prove to yourself your legs aren't weak. One time, I felt like my right arm was numb and "weak". I got so sick of worrying about it, I took some dumbells. I curled as many as I could on my right side, until I could not do another single curl - until total fatigue. Then, I did the same thing with my left arm. I did EXACTLY the same amount of curls on both arms, so there was no true weakness, there. It helped me a lot to know that. Are you doing the panic program on here? I am finding it to be a big help. AP

I know this is really stupid and this is similar to the post I put on about muscle aches, but my legs still sort of hurt and its really beginning to stress me out!! They were fine all weekend, that was when I was at home. I've now come back to my boyfriends house 100 miles away from home and its all started again. Sometimes when I'm sat I fel like I'm not going to be able to stand up when I need to. My legs just sometimes feel as if they are empty or something, I don't know its just strange!! Anyway I just wondered if anyone has anything remotely similar, I'm certain its anxiety in some way but I'm just etting scared.
