I know two people who take Lexapro, they seem to tolerate it well. No advice to offer except that if it helps, then don't be afraid of it. AP

It's Cipralex (Lexapro), I've only been taking it for 3 days, tonight will be my fourth, I'm not as anxiety ridden, however I feel really weird about taking meds, I just havent accepted it yet, any pointers? Thanks Christine

Christine - thanks for that, it made me feel a lot better. What meds are you trying? I forgot? AP

Hi there! The little bit of info that I got was that MS symptoms do not come and go on a daily basis, they last for weeks at a time, my friend had major balance issues (would fall) and had major weakness in her legs that lasted weeks. In the beginning she had a spinal tap to rule out any nerve damage and was tested for everything else, before testing for MS, that's all she said on my machine.....I hope that helps, i'm on my second day of meds, and so far its okay....not much of a change.... Christine - just checking in. Have you heard from your friends yet? AP

OH, and about the soothing music. Well, not really. I do leave the weather channel on my TV all night, that has a soothing effect on me for some reason. I've never thought of music instead of TV. For some reason, hearing other adult voices in the background makes me feel comforted. AP

Christine - thanks so much... be gentle with me! If you know what I mean... I am fragile, if you have something that would not be "good news" for me and my symptoms, then you may want to consider not telling me at all. :) AP

Hi there AP! I am going to get in touch with both of my friends and get as much info as I can and I will reply on this post probably tomorrow, (one is at work) I hope you're feeling better, and.....is there any sort of calming music you listen to that helps you? I'm trying to find something to listen to at night because my ears ring like crazy and my mind races too.... TTYL Christine

I wrote you back in the "goodbye" post from Dreamer, but wasn't sure if you'd see it. I don't know if this will end up being constructive or not, I hope so, but you'd mentioned that you have friends with MS. Did that help you eventually, to know that your symptoms aren't as serious as what someone who *really* has MS deals with? I am constantly worrying about it, despite the fact I've been to a GP and a neurologist, and neither has so much as ordered an MRI to make sure (they must be pretty sure I don't have it, right?) Do you know if MS symptoms come and go daily like mine do, or do they pretty much come and stay for awhile before going into remission? My GP told me my symptoms wouldn't come and go daily, that something would start to go (right arm and leg, for example) and it would stay gone and get worse, and I wouldn't get any relief. I have one sided symptoms sometimes (right side, sortof a "numb" or "useless" feeling in my limbs) and it scares me like crazy. I also have vision issues, but an eye doctor told me my eyes are fine. (don't know if thats good or bad) Anyhow, I'm rambling, my whole point of this post is to ask you if you have any words for me, being someone who knows FIRSTHAND what MS causes in people, can you give me any advice on how I can start to really believe I don't have it? Wouldn't my symptoms be "smack in the face" obvious insted of vague, come and go stuff like this? The anxiety, I swear, it has CAUSED my body to mimic MS. Or maybe thats just denial or wishful thinking... See this is my problem, I think too much. Looking forward to hearing from you - AP
