Cigarette smoke is the least of the pollutants. I struggle on the weekends on the bike path along Lake Michigan because of the BBQing. It is choking, especially for someone who has asthma. I pass the few smokers up really quickly. Playgrounds should be smoke-free. The rest of he outdoors, well, the air is already putrid. People have to decide to quit and have to want it to do so. More bans aren't going to help especially when the bans are just meant to get adults to modify their behavior.
My Mileage:
My Quit Date: 5/1/2009 Smoke-Free Days: 492 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 13,776 Amount Saved: $5,854.80 Life Gained: Days: 55 Hrs: 8 Mins: 43 Seconds: 16
In some parts of the world there have been discussions on making outdoor spaces such as patios, parks and playgrounds smoke-free. Do you think putting in place these restrictions would help people stick with their quits? Furthermore, do you think these bans would help people make the decision to quit smoking?
