Debbi, All you can do at this point is listen to your health-care provider. He/she has your best interest at any given time. I remember when I was trying to get pregnant that even though I did not know the result of the test I thought I was pregnant. I then took the pregnancy test and it was negative. I almost wanted to have all the symptoms of being pregnant. Therefore, I thought I was cramping, urinating more, and was even more tired than usual. We have to learn to sit back and let nature take its course. If you still are not menstruating in another week, call your healthcare provider and tell them that you would like another pregnancy test. I know it may be hard to do, but all we can do is find ways to help us relax when our anxiety takes over. Do you have any relaxation techniques? If so, do you mind sharing them with us? Please keep us posted! Take care, Melanie _____________________________ The Panic Center Support Team

Hi Everyone, I have had a bad day and cannot sleep, I have been still crying and panicking, I just cannot accept that my pregnancy test was negative, the woman on the phone from the first response test place said if I did it too early it might show negative and I have to repeat in a week. This has been playing on my mind and I feel symptoms of a breakdown coming back like 3 years ago and I am scared to death. MY monthly has not started yet and I feel no nauscous and dizzy and I am urinating every 10 mins, I have all the signs of pregnancy, I am terrified because of my age and my medication and the fact that I have a disabled child already and I just know I will have another. My nurse-practioner tells me to take the Klonopin it stops the panic attacks but then sends me into a depression so dark I cry for hours and hours, I feel like my body is all messed up, I wish it were perimenopause but I feel like I am pregnant and I know I will crumble if thats true, I should of waited to take the test but my anxiety was so high. I am going to try to sleep but its hard knowing tommarow I will feel so bad again, its hard to get up in the morning so sick and my husband is so mad at me for acting like this, I cannot for the first time pull it together for my little boy, I always have in the past, I feel like I am having nervous breakdown and noone can help me. My husband says him and my son would be better off without me and I have to agree, it seems like I cannot get it together. Thanks for listening. Debbie.

I have a sister who has panic attacks as I do. They increased during the beginning stages of menopause. I don't remember much what she said about it, just that. Hope you feel better.

Thanks Gina, I called the first response who makes the test, they seem to think I did it right, they said if I do not start in 5 days to retest, I hope I do not have too. I am cramping very badly but so far nothing, a little part of me still is worried that I am pregnant because they told me to retest even through I think I gave it enough time, I am usually very regular and are still concerned, its not fair is it first us girls have to deal with PMS then pre-menopause with panic anxiety and depression thrown in for good measure! You are a good friend Gina,I hope things are going well with you today, if not let me know I am here for you like you are for me. I am trying to stay positive and hope I start I know that has increased my symptoms and panic so much. Thanks, Debbie.

Dear Casey, Linda and Gina, I Took the urine test this morning, in fact I repeated it twice. It was negative. I am very relieved, not happy, but relieved, if I do not start in a week they say to repeat the test, but it looks pretty good, this first response detects the HCG hormone even before you miss a period, and I waited a week so it looks good, its supposed to be 99% accurate. I was so scared at my age of all the problems, I am still having the symptoms, dizzy, frequent urination, etc... but it could be nerves, I have not started my monthly yet, but I am cramping badly, this has helped my panic, I love children and adore my son, but I do know the risks to women and the fact they told my husband at work he has been exposed to high levels of toxic abestos and radiation {he works at a power plant} I was terrified! I feel a bit better now, very drained exhausted and beat. Has anyone ever gone through perimenopause, I have not hot flashes, just panic headaches depression nausea and I feel terrible, my Mother died so I have noone to ask. THank you all so much for your works and replies, it meant so much to me and I am so grateful. Thank you so much, I will be looking forward to hearing from you. Debbie.
