Kasi, you are doing fantastic.  I think you need to be a little easier on yourself, this is a very difficult battle you are in.  I don't know how many times people on this site saved my quit, I posted the same things you and Theresa did.  I was very weak at times, ready to stop fighting, but I am still here.  I pray everyday that I stay smoke free one more day, and it gets easier.  You can to this, you are strong!!

THANKS!  Yep, shocked me when I woke up this morning and thought, Nic did NOT win today!  As for the wrinkles, I've seen what my mother and sisters are turning into cause they continue to smoke and you weren't joking about the wrinkles lol.

hi Kasi, (you're very prettry) don't smoke, avoid the wrinkles save yourself, there's still time for you hihihihi

All joking aside, it's tough but doable, hey you've done hell week and that's the ultimate challenge...

I have been quit 2 years and sometimes the thought enters my mind when I am with my smoking friends,  mind you it's just a thought and leaves in a matter of seconds, it's such a sneaky addiction, you have to protect yourself  at all costs.

Now what's your reward? We love rewards, tell us what it'll be !!!!!!!

Thanks for the responses.  I was so discouraged but I have continued on with my quit.  I rode it out and basically will do like others said here, ride it out and it will make you that much stronger for the next wave of craves/  I did make it one entire day and that did put a smile on my face.

It IS head games and yes you are bargaining with the addiction, but wait, hang in there. It does suck, I know, I've been there. I ask of you, please, will you not throw in the towel? It really does get so much easier, give it some time, let those emotions settle. Tell those junkie thoughts to take a hike. You're stronger than you give yourself credit. I mean, you've already got what, 6 days now? That's great. They don't call the first week hell week for nothing. That's exactly what it feels like, but it gets easier....I promise. C'mon, chin up. You can do this.

Do you have a quit smoking helpline in your area?  I know there's one in our area.  I see the signs posted everywhere.  Might be something you can look into.  Friends aren't always the best support group especially when they're dealing with their own demons.  When I first quit back in January there were ten other people at work that intended to quit as well.  A few tried and when they did they just wanted to be left alone, didn't want to talk about it AT ALL.  Only one other person stuck to their quit.  Everyone deals with it in their own time and in their own way.

You're doing a wonderful thing for your two boys by quitting smoking.   You're going to be there for them a lot healthier and a lot longer.  You're going to be able to teach them about inner strength and getting through tough times.  You're going to teach them about loving themselves enough to care for and cherish their bodies and minds.

You're doing great.  Six days!!!  Give yourself a big pat on the back, a big hug and call it a day.  You have a lot to be proud of and you've accomplished so much today in staying smoke free.

Check in again tomorrow.

This still sucks.  I've got the little ones in bed but I still feel bad.  I also have to not rely on my friend that told me about this website anymore as she told me she has to watch and protect her quit. She said I need to come here more than call her anymore in regards to quitting.  I figured after 1 1/2 years I could lean on her for all the cravings and withdrawals knowing she's been through what I am just starting too.  I just want to try again some other time when I'm more mentally stable.  But for now I have to wait cause my little ones are still in bed and will be until morning so no nic for now.
