Anxiety symptoms when NO anxiety

I also had thought for about 6 months that maybe I had a brain tumor because I just felt so out of it all the time. Like i was looking in a rear view mirror everyday!! I was trying to tell everyone what I was going through but, nobody understood! I mean I knew I could see the same as before my first panic attack but for some reason I had this wierd head thing. Anyway, My hubby got me an anxiety book and I started therapy and learned that it was called derealization. That anxiety sufferers deal with this because they stay in their heads too much. I have been better like I said, after accepting that it was just my anxiety and now I am actually able to go through the days without CONSTANT anxiety and am able to make myself go places when I feel "wierd". It took me about a week after actually working on it and i would say I am doing 50 times better. I am not fully free yet but, I KNOW it is possible now. Thank you all for your words-I love being able to share the same thing with someone else. It makes me feel more normal! It is just so great after 8 months of crying for help to my family that i have found people who listen and actually care about it and can empathize-This is so nice-THANKS!!!

What A RELIIEF!!!!!! CRYSTAL I HAVE THE EYES PROBLEM AS WELL AND also I keep saying to my husband that there is something wrong with my eyesight even though I had a test done few months ago. I feel so weird especially in my head that is why I think I have a brain tumour because all the functions inside seem so strange I CANNOT EVEN FIND THE RIGHT WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL I don't know if it headache or dizziness or a confused brain messages anyway I just to try to keep my mind as busy as possible to overcome these feelings. thank you so much all of you

I totally understand!! I am always telling my husband I am not nervous but, I still can't see. My main symptoms when I am nervous is faintness, dizziness, blurry vision-I hate it!!! So, when I am not nervous and I still feel like I "can't see well" I think well, there has to be something wrong. For awhile I did not want to think it was anxiety, because of course I didn't FEEL the anxiety...so, I went to 3 eye Dr.s have had numerous tests and I am FINALLY relizing that it is my anxiety and now more days than not I do not pay attention to my eyes or the way I see-It is wierd I am able to work on it from the inside out because of acceptance. Anyway, I just wanted to let you nkow-You won't always feel this way-There is so much hope for all of us!!

Yes this is called hypervigilence, because you have suffered PAs in the past your mind tells your body to be on the alert for any symptoms that may indicate the start of another PA. When your mind does this you subconsciously start to feel any of the physical symptoms of anxiety (feeling sick, shaking, missing heart beats etc). Even tho you may be feeling ok. The trick is to ignore these sensations and know that you are OK.

ABSOLUTELY. I can have all the symptoms but think "what the heck is the matter, I feel fine!" and it is bad because it only leads me to think there is actually something physically wrong instead of mentally! This happens to me ALL the time.
