Thanks so much you guys for responding! I really appreciate all your help. Sometimes just knowing other people have the same thing helps. Any other responses would be greatly appreciated. I am only 30, this is starting to affect my work now too, so thanks for the hope.

I can relate to the muscle problems that you are having , as I have had this for about two months now. I have not had a panic attack in a while now but I get alot of muscle tension, but mainly on my left side, when i tried to explain it to my doctor he said he was stumpted and put it down to muscle tension, so I now have to believe what he says. I take 10mgs of citalopram daily, and because I have passed out a short while back I thought to that I had some horrible muscle wasting disease as sometimes I could not feel anything down my left side. Anyway after numerious amount of tests and have all come back fine it liiks like I just have to accept it is caused with muscle tension. Going for an eeg in April just to make sure everything has been covered.

I do indeed. I wonder if it is simply anxiety. I have very bad cramping and spasms in my back and upper shoulders. I also tend to get a lot of joint pain. Hey, I am young too! I do wonder if it is a result of being tense all day long and you do not even realize it. I can often find myself sitting there and realize I am so tense my shoulders are up by my chin. YES, all that does take a toll on your body.

My family doctor diagnosed me with anxiety in October 2004, so I am new to all this. First, I have had many "Panic Attacks" since then, but I find that it is more generalized anixety 24/7. I can't find much information on GAD such as actual symptoms that can happen continuously for that long. I've read that your body cannot sustain anxiety for any long amounts of time because the adrenaline diminishes, however, I seem to have symptoms all the time! For the past 3 weeks (and my family doctor is on holidays) I have been waking up with leg cramps every morning. Now they have also moved to my arms. In fact, this week my arms and legs feel like they are slowly becoming paralized/cramping/fairly painful, yet as you can see, I am typing and can feel physical sensations, etc. I fell unsteady, nauseous, like my balance is off, ear/head pressure and lightheadedness also consistently. Is this anixety or should I be looking for something more? Of course my mind is telling me I'm developing muscular dystrophy or something very serious. I had an MRI in October 2004 to rule out MS, brain tumor, etc. I just recently wore a heart rate monitor for pulse for 24 hours and am awaiting results. I've been to the emergency for almost passing out at work this week and all my bloodwork came back fine. I saw an ENT for ear problems, including Meniere's Disease. I have a Neurologist who did the hop on 1 leg, reflex stuff and says I am OK. Is there something else they should be checking? Haven't I ruled out everything? Like everyone else I've been reading, I feel like something is seriously wrong! Please help.
