Old Panic is coming back

Hey! I agree with the CD! I just had my first hypnosis session on Thrusday and I bought a CD (25 bucks) to help with relaxation and breating after words, and boy does it help! I slept for the first time on my own the other night, but still going through a rough time, but I am going to listen to it every day and see if that helps! Sam S

It's terrific that you are still going on and not avoiding. Raising kids is stressful even with two parents. I find relaxation CD's help me sleep. Also warm baths and a cup of warm milk with just a tablespoon of whiskey. Reading a boring technical manual also helps me sleep also. Deep breathing and progressive muscle relaxation really help. I know it's hard to find time, but make time for you. Don't feel guilty about it--your family needs you in the best health possible, so really, you're doing it for them. Hope you sleep well. I used to have trouble sleeping if something is bothering me but if I have been anxious all day, I am wiped at the end of the day and am ready to sleep. I usually have to use a few relaxation techniques and say a prayer first. Maybe you could use a sleep aide or ask doc to prescribe one. Good luck hun. Cj

I have suffered from Panic Attacks since I was 9 years old and I am now 35. After I got pregnant with my son, the attacks seemed to go away but now, 4 years later, I am getting the attacks back all over again? I work full time, go to school full time and I am a single Mom. I know that I lead a stressful life somewhat, but I have been on just about every medication that is out there for Panic and I know what to do during my attacks, but I just wish I did not have to get them to begin with. I am also noticing that I am getting them more in the same places ie: restaurants, car. I don't feel well on meds as they make me either jittery or spaced out, but I would love to find a way to reduce them again? I take Ativan when I need to, but I don't want to have to take something to feel normal all the time? Any suggestions would be appreciated. I get a massage every other week and I try to eat well. Does anyone else have insomnia along with their panic? Thanks.
