Take comfort in the fact that what you feel is TOTALLY NORMAL. It is part of the quit. Just like getting the flu and knowing there isn't much you can do about it but hang in there....so it is with quiting. To get better you just hang in there till you heal. IF you have time..give your brain a much needed rest and watch a movie. It is a great diversion and your focused on something else for a couple of hours. It is a much needed break from the smoking battle. Your doing a great job. Remember.... it's all about YOU!! You don't "GOT" to quit.... you "GET" to quit. I just had a convo with a colleague today that your post reminded me of. Even though she is a smoker (for now I hope!) she knows how hard it is to try and quit and to actually do it for real. I was telling her about how hard yesterday was for me and that at one point I thought of giving it all up. Although that thought quickly changed when I said to myself if you can do it now that you're going through so much hardache then you can overcome anything after this. What she said was that... there is always some excuse, something going on in your life that you'll use as an excuse not to quit... and THAT is the addiction quicking in. So hang on Wazz because like you said... you are no addict and don't want to be one anymore. We'll make it! It will get better soon :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 10/28/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 9 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 135 Amount Saved: $43.88 Life Gained: Days: 0 Hrs: 16 Mins: 5 Seconds: 6

Listen to all these great quitter's, they know what they are talking about. We can never have another puff again, and if other's can quit and make it through hell and heck week, then so can we. Just remember, if the voice in your head EVER says to you that you can have just one Cig....don't believe it...it won't be just one cig, no matter how strong you think you are! Might as well make it the last one, you've come this far, Wazz. The only way to achieve the goals you mentioned is to not smoke. The way to not smoke is to not smoke. Ever. Wazz, Yes, this is the last rodeo for me! After all the times I have tried to quit, the light bulbs all came on this time. I saw the addiction for what it is, and realized I can never have another drag of a cigarette ever, no matter what! Its the NO MATTER WHAT that I wasn't doing before. You have to close that door and know you can't ever go back! I imagine that big door to my old smoking life as locked and nailed shut! I don't want to ever open it again! That's why I know its the last rodeo for me! I hope it's your last one too! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 246 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,150 Amount Saved: $2,595.30 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 1 Mins: 37 Seconds: 7

Wazz, You got it right! There is a thousand reasons to go forward with quitting, and not one reason to go back to smoking! You're doing great! Smoking is not an option! NOPE! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 246 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,150 Amount Saved: $2,595.30 Life Gained: Days: 30 Hrs: 1 Mins: 28 Seconds: 37

Well after a very very tough day yesterday, I made it and here I am today still smoke free. I can tell this isnt going to be easy at all not even close. Its a continuous battle to stay smoke free. I am feeling better already. Its early on for me tho. Its day 4. I have to come to realize that alot of people that quit and restart have so many excuses why but in reality theres always an excuse that one can find to use. Im not looking for any pity but I have had a bad year. If I can do the quit now then I guess I can do anything within reason in the future. So here we go half way done with day 4.
