Tryagain, Lainey makes a great point. It could be grief that is causing the cravings. Have you been using any outlets for those emotions? Danielle, Bilingual Support Specialist

Maybe its not a craving, Trying, maybe its the grief you're feeling. It baffles me how it can still be bothering you so much after all this time. You certainly have had it rough. Are you still on the gum? I would be wanting to get rid of that as quickly as I could. I couldn't wait to get off the patch, to be free of the nicotine and thats when I really started feeling so much better. I know you were trying to wean off of it. I would be cutting it into halves for a week or so and then quarters for the next week or so and then eights if need be. What do you think? I was doing just fine until my cat, my companion of 20 years passed away. Just think, he lived with me 19 hard smoking years! I did not have a cig. I wanted one. The craving washed over me like a tsunami. That was a week or more ago. I'm waiting for the craving to pass, still waiting. 24 hours a day, no let up, no cigarettes, no smoking, no peace. Sometimes I look in the mirror and say "why don't you just give it up already". In three months I'll be one year smoke free. It could be yesterday.
