Good going, MamaD!
Sometimes it's good to plan something for those times you think might be hard. Taking a walk after dinner is kind of nice. Also, remember to pamper yourself these first few weeks.
You're doing great!

Way to go Mama D,
It will be easier for you to keep your quit if you will change your thinking to knowing that you did not "enjoy" that early cigarette. I don't believe anyone really enjoys poisioning themselves.Think of all the reasons you don't want to smoke. Write them down. I made a game of writing three reasons for not smoking every time I had a crave. Amazing how hard it is to actually do that for a whole day. BLUE CLOUD

Great job, MammaD! You are right to take it one moment at a time. Don't think too far ahead. Only worry about what you are facing right now. You are doing great! After dinner you can do what you have been doing all day... breathe, distract, drink water, walk... whatever it takes. You will do just fine. :)

I started my day delaying my first smoke especially with my morning coffee which is the one smoke I really enjoy. I have gone far beyond that and am now into the mid afternoon. I have also noticed that I have not other family members light up either. I am taking one craving at time and using my tools to fight them off. It is so easy to cave in but I beating Mr Demon right now. Be back soon. I will be busy for the next couple of hours preparing food but after dinner will be a battle. NOPE. BIG BIG DEEP BREATH
