I had hoped they were a myth, but a few of them showed up to prove me wrong. Mostly in the first few months. It will pass! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 183 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 4,575 Amount Saved: $1,930.65 Life Gained: Days: 22 Hrs: 8 Mins: 50 Seconds: 35

pokerbrat, For what it is worth, I have never given credence to any milestone crave theory and I certainly believe that if one waits long enough for something, it will more than likely turn up!! Forget them, I have never had one and I'm not unusual.............or perhaps, I am!!! ;p PS Sorry you've "had them" Tom and congrats new me on 100 days!!! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/18/2004 Smoke-Free Days: 1204 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 24,080 Amount Saved: 6,020.00 Life Gained: Days: 193 Hrs: 9 Mins: 25 Seconds: 19

Oh yes, I felt them too. You know it's coming with a milestone. Anymore though, for me, they're insignificantly weak. That's just one other thing we deal with. Not too bad considering what we've accomplished just to get here. These craves are a walk in the park in comparison. You did good, New Me, in dealing with a junky that was trying to take advantage of your weakened state, end of the day energy levels. When smoking is looking good you know the junky is driving. Only the junky can make you think that smoking is good ANYTHING. All you can do is exactly what you did, not smoke and get rest. When the junky pulls out your past failed attempts trying to get you to give up, flash your stats! Not doing so bad this time! I'm starting to wonder if these milestone cravings are coming from our subconscious from what we have read here. As you can see, the 90 day mark has come and gone for me, and I find myself setting back and waiting for the crave to hit me, almost as if it is supposed to. Just a thought. By the way new me, congrats on over 100 days! Your stats are looking great! The most repulsive and disgusting thing about having that one puff is just how good it would taste and you know very well it would taste horrible, didn't they all? Any memory you have of it tasting good is the illusion that feeding the addiction was a pleasure. The only good that comes from it is making the junkie jump for joy. I was feeling so wonderful today; my 100 day milestone. Then, this evening after work, the empty nagging started to grow. I have read posts where people took a few puffs and they said that it tasted nasty, made them cough..it was horrible. I know that if I took a few puffs, i would be "ahhhhhh that tasted so good". It is imbedded in my brain from other lost quits, I guess. When i finally gave up and had a cig, it tasted so good. Well, enough romanticizing of the nasty poison death sticks. I am going to bed. I am not going to smoke. Can't wait for the day when the thought of having a drag is repulsive. new me My Milage: My Quit Date: 5/26/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 101 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,424 Amount Saved: $505.00 Life Gained: Days: 13 Hrs: 22 Mins: 3 Seconds: 40
