Weird Headaches- Fuzziness

Hi Katie Yes it's possible to have panic disorder and gad at the same time. I have it along with depression. I like Sammie, have been struggling with this for a very long time. This site and reading books on gad and panic disorder have helped me.

Thank you Katie and Samantha. If there is just one other person out there suffering the same symptoms I have, then I can partially convince myself that I don't have an impending blood clot or brain tumor. Funny how I can easily down play symptoms my friends have and convince myself that a headache means impending death. It is never the same for me, but everyone else is always ok. I am new to this whole anxiety thing. My question is, why not sooner? It's almost like anxiety needs to have showed up sooner in my life to be valid. Why now? What happened in my chemistry that I suddenly get tunnel vision, feel like passing out and feel like I am having a heart attack? In the interim, (between these panic attacks), I get these headaches, nausea, gastro problems and blame them on food poisoning. Is it possible to have interim panic attacks and GAD at the same time? Hi Katie, Relax, and dont worry, what you are having is common with anxiety sufferers. I know how it is to need to know that someone else feels the same way too. Its very comforting to know that you are not alone. I am very familiar with the headaches, the "fuzzy" feeling, the congestion, and many other physical symptoms caused by anxiety. In fact I have the same thing today. I have had panic and anxiety since I was 19 years old and i'm 31 now, so unfortunately I have lots of experience with it. I still write in regularly when I have a new symptom just to reassure myself that i'll be Ok and others feel the same way. When I was first diagnosed with panic and anxiety I just could not accept that it was a "mental" condition. Even though I had been to several doctors and had all kinds of tests, I just couldn't believe that I wasn't physically sick. Everything went through my mind - brain tumor, cancer, thyriod, you name it I thought it may be what was wrong with me. I was convinced that I had been misdiagnosed. I was amazed when the meds got into my system and started working, they were actually helping and I was starting to have alot more good days. Its really amazing how your nerves can make you feel so sick. This site has been so helpful to me. I was really glad when I found it. We never have to feel alone as long as we have this place to come to. Good Luck! I hope you feel better soon. Samantha

Hi, I'm Katie, too. Yes, I've had that feeling many times. It turns out, I just have really bad sinus problems sometimes. It got so bad once that I couldn't walk straight. Of course, because I have panic disorder, I thought it was something much worse. I called my doctor and told him my symptoms and he told me to take a antihistamine (sp?). It really helped. You might want to talk to your Dr. and see if you might be allergic to something. Maybe you'll be put on some allergy medicine that might just do the trick. Please ask your doctor. But yes, I've definitely felt like that many times. Hope that eases your stress a little. Katie

Is it possible that anxiety really causes physical symptoms? I just don't think I really have anxiety. I know my headaches and feeling fuzzy and like I might go crazy have to be caused from something else. I have light fuzzy headaches all day with a slight congestion and pain in my sinuses. Has anyone else ever felt this? Along with the headaches I see differently, like I am watching a movie. Please tell me that there are others out there experiencing the same.
