Well i've almost made it through day 3 which has not been easy for me but I figure like most of you guys have said once i get past the few days it will be easier :) so I will do everything in my power not to let that happen. And it is so nice still having that money in my wallet that I wouldve spent on cigs. Hi Bold, I have made it to day 6 and I am still alive. It still is not easy but I do think it is better than the first couple days. I told myself this was not worth it to me but I am still here. I do not want to let myself down. We can do this. we are stronger than some piece of weed that is wrapped in paper that we pay way to much for and have nothing to show for the money once we light them. I am going to find a better way to spend that money. I decided that each week I am going to put the money in my a special place just for a treat for myself. By that I mean I may use it to buy myself something or buy something for someone else. Just have some extra money to do something with that I did not have before. Bold, You are still here and still doing it! Someone asked me yesterday, in a very nice way, what was wrong with me and what they could do to help. My response was I have no idea. I don't know why I respond the way I do or have the feelings I do, but the only thing that matters is I am still not smoking. Just focus on making it through today. bold, This is normal! Your body is healing and needs that extra rest, so take a nap and relax yourself. Prepare those rewards and pamper yourself after your "hell week" is over :) Josie, Support Specialist

bold Fight past this now and you will look back with a wee little smile and be happy that you made the trip...I am an "emotive" smoker too. You are going to find that as you move forward you will be untangling alot of emotive responses that have become ensnared in the nicotine trap...But remember one thing at all times...SMOKING IS AN ILLUSION...IT DOES NOTHING TO CHANGE A SITUATION...We have developed a ritualistic response to our feelings that creates nothing and causes major damage to our physical well being...It will take practice for you to become comfortable, but I guarantee that it can be done and that you will slowly develop a new non-smoking self that is comfortable in your own skin...This is all part of the mind game...Tough it out and be kind to yourself, you are busy being reborn now and that takes a whole lot of doing... nonic My Milage: My Quit Date: 12/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 204 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 6,120 Amount Saved: $1,428.00 Life Gained: Days: 37 Hrs: 5 Mins: 39 Seconds: 3
I just know if i can get past the next few days without smoking ill be in good shape
Hold on to this and lose all the but's. You are quit and just need to take one day at a time; five minutes at a time. Don't worry about tomorrow just hang on to right now. You are doing an awesome job and you are succeeding. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Boldinaz, Stay very close to this site for a few more days. Remember to take deep breaths, have your coping tools close by. Suck on a straw or candies or gum and remember to change your routine. All of those things will help, and once you get thru day 3, it gets better! So hang on tight... Tell yourself "Smoking is not an option so I have to do something else" Not One Puff Ever! You can do this! :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 134 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,350 Amount Saved: $1,413.70 Life Gained: Days: 16 Hrs: 8 Mins: 23 Seconds: 32

Bold, Don't allow youself a way out. Think of it this way. It is no worse than a flu. If you had a flu you would "HAVE TO" put up with the discomfort. To be cured of something more serious than the flu will take some discomfort likewise. There is no way around it. You need to do what needs to be done. That is NOT smoke. Take naps and sleep...watch movies which will take up a couple of hours. Take WALKS...AND MORE WALKS. Walks help emensely!! It won't kill you the first couple of days to snack a little more (just don't do that too long). Read a novel....work on a puzzle...anything. Don't think about tomorrow. Deal with the hour you are in. Take one hour at a time. It will get better. What you are doing is a good thing. It is a fun and exciting journey. It is the new and improved you. Think of what you want to be when you become a free unaddicted person. Your first three days are the hardest. You are doing GREAT. Give yourself a treat for doing so well.
