Sounds like you had an anxiety attack Linds. While you are wating to see the doc think about what kind of stress you are under, anything bad going on,etc etc. Be ready to discuss it openly and honestly with him. When my symptoms started no one ever asked me about stress or anything. I went to the ER and ended up spending a few days in the hospital for a complete cardiac workup only to find out later it was Anxiety!

I have doing very well lately with my panic attacks by going to therapy and positive self-talk. Last night, I had a terrible experience. I was on the computer when suddenly my heart started pounding so hard that my hands started shaking so badly. I thought I was going to have to call the paramedics. I stopped what I was doing and went to lie down. It only lasted for a few mintues, but it was awful. I never had this happen before. I would like to know if anyone has experienced these symptoms to this extreme. I am going to call my doctor on Monday and ask him about it. I have recently been diagnosed with some extra fluid around the heart, so I am concerned that maybe it was a symptom of that.

Hello KarlUK, Welcome to the site. I know that others will be responding to your post soon to share their experiences but I also wanted to respond. It is reassurring to hear that your blood tests have come back all clear and you do make a valid point about the effect experiencing pain can have. You have done the right thing to keep track of your symptoms. You can find tools available on this site that will assist you with this if you would like to use them. It is quite possible that the symptoms you mention could be due to anxiety but it is not our place to provide a diagnosis. You should definitely follow-up with your doctor about these symptoms and let him/her know how you are feeling. Please continue to post and let us know how you are doing. Hi was wondering whether anyone can help me. It all started 4 weeks ago when suddenly out of nowhere i came over all lightheaded, dizzy, faint, shaky and felt like i was going to die, i have had 4 more of them recently over the last few weeks. Since then every day for the past 4 weeks i have had these daily symptoms:- Dizziness, lightheadedness, fatigue, stomach problems including diarrhea, shakiness, rapid heartrate, aches and pains. I have had blood tests but nothing has been found wrong with me. Does it sound like i am suffering from anxiety? I have been in pain for 7 months with wisdom teeth problems they are coming out in 3 weeks but sometimes the pain is so severe could that have started this off? I hope to hear back from someone very soon.

Hi Blondie, I have been having the stuffy nose thing lately too but my husband & I both have a sinus infection. It will pass but it has put a damper on my deep breathing exercises since I can't breath through my nose right now. Anyway it's probaly something minor but I hope you feel better soon!! Chanda

Hi Blondie Have you been diagnosed with panic disorder or GAD? If you have, the reason for the breathing is hyperventalation and the best way to fix this is deep breathing excercizes 10 min 2 times a day. This symptom was very difficult for me. I insisted I had lung cancer or emphesema! Pay no attention to my spelling!!

Hey everyone! I have a question! I have a stuffy nose and i am having trouble breathing...i am so worried that i have a breathing problem! Can anxiety make you worry about your breathing? I am only 15 and the doctor told me that i am healthy...Can i have a breathing problem at this age that would come on suddenly? It think it is just from my allergies but my mind wont let me believe it! I always worry! I hope you can give me some advice! I golfed 18 holes walking yesterday and i didnt die so dont you think if i had a breathing problem it would have showed then? Thanks for the advice, if you have any! Anxiety is a horriable thing! Love, Blondie
