A bit of light relief

Dear Redface It's really strange that you should say that, although i feel jittery most of the time, if there is a real reason to panic, i turn into mr fearless, and can handle any crisis. Only a few months back i had to grab an old gentleman from out the path of a lorry he'd not seen. Everybody else just stood and watched as i ran into the road to get him. That does seem strange, when you think what we are like most of the time, seemingly scared of our own heart beats. This must be one of the strangest illness's in the world. Best wishes Mudslinger uk

I have heard that when sensitive people are under a real panic situation, like a bomb going off, or some disaster occurs, they usually can handle it better than most other people. Maybe it's because we have prepared for the worst most of our lives and are more ready for it when it comes? That was a chuckle... ;)

Good for you Mudslinger!! I'm still having a very hard time with the exposure part I can go out for walks and movies and things but only If I'm with someone. It sucks because I don't take my kids out like I used to. I'm making myself do more over the next few days so that my family and I can get our lives back!!!! Congrats again to you!!

Hi all Just wanted to share a bit of a story with you all, in the hope that it will raise a smile in the midst of all this desperation we feel. I'm on the panic program here, and just working on the exsposure part. i suffer badly when going outside, so for the last few days i've been forcing myself to go for long walks on a 6 miles stretch of the canal (boats and ducks, swans and things) It's all been going great guns, and each time its been getting easier, and more enjoyable. I went and did the same thing yesterday afternoon. This time though things didnt quite turn out the same. i was walking through a part that as a big building site next to it. All of a sudden there was this almighty blast, the shock wave nearly knocked me off my feet. I felt dazed, took a look around me, only to see at the top of the hill, a police bomb squad desposal van, and a few police cars. They'd obviuosly dug up some ww2 bomb on the building site or something, and the police had come to make it safe. Well, i sat on the bench, had a cigerette, looked up to the sky and chuckled to myself as i said "Why dont you like me god"... I thought it was funny in the end. i went for my walk and didnt panic once. Arent i lucky (NOT) LOL Mudslinger uk
