Quite some time ago my boss and I had a dialog, it went something like this:
Me: Do you mind if I smoke?
Him: Do you mind if I fart?
Me: Yes
Him: Why?
Me: It stinks
Him: So does your smoking!
So, the wind you are experiencing maybe is 'Payback' from all those non-smokers that had to put up with the stink of smoking in the past! ;)

Hey EX, Thanks. This is really funny, and so true! I'm not sure how long it lasts but some days are more musical than others. It's pretty handy to have a dog near by:)

How weird - I replied twice to it earlier (coz I thought it was funny) and though the post count went up to 15 there were only 13 actually visible.
My earlier posts have now completely vanished leaving just these last two...
Anyway, I thought this was rather funny....

Great quit, DavisCup. Stay strong.
(Wish I could still use my quit as my excuse)

Nearly through Day 23 and YIPPPEEEEEE!!!!!
You'll be pleased to know that there has at long last been a huge weight lifted off my mind - if you know what I mean (the old bowels seem to functioning again at long last). And beginning to look a lot less like someone pregnant with an alien and it being about to burst free, with all the accompanying noises and gurgling from within. Felt like shouting it out to the world this morning - well it had been one very long and painful week - oh yes!!! - oh yes!!!
Just looking forward to one of my other withdrawal problems easing off, the tiredness one - I could quite easily drop off asleep at the drop of a hat, most worryingly when driving first thing to work can be hard to keep eyes open - plenty of blinking and windows down to keep the air flowing, loud music, etc., you know the usual stuff. Changes to route help to stop complacency as well. Having read others posts it's probably the nicotine leaving my system as it was a megapoisonous stimulant - and as I am not taking any form of NRT it is probably quite a shock to me ol' bod+++ that it ain't getting any after nearly 20years of depending on it.
I AM A SMOKER BUT ONE WHO CONTINUES TO CHOSE NOT TO (Day 24 beckons).
Love to one and all.

Fibrochick,
Congratulations! Nicotine does increase your metabolism and as such when you quit some quitters do experience a temporary dip in energy. Until it passes, if you are feeling tired, take a nap.

What a riot...thanks for the laugh (and it's mostly at myself as you have described exactly what is happening to me at the moment!). Fine for the first few weeks... this week, though, I have been plagued with what a friend terms "boy farts".
This too shall pass, I assume!
