I get the breathing thing too. Try blowing into a paper bag to fill it right up. It makes you breathe from lower down in your lungs and often helps you to focus and release some tension. PS they do the same thing for children with asthma to help them settle their breathing. Hope it helps

Hello my name is Stephanie.. was diagnosed in 98 with PD/OCD... suffered for about 2 yrs and then it seemed to go away.. it has come back FULL BLOWN,worse than ever over the past 6mths. I'm now taking PaxilCR-12.5mg which seems to be working but I think I may need to up my dosage! Anyway for the past 6mths I've been obbsessing over the thought that I had a brain tumor. I had an MRI 2 wks ago and everything came out fine. So now it seems that I'm obbsessed with the thought that I can't breathe! The thing is is that I really feel like I'm having a hard time breathing, like I'm not getting enough oxygen or something. Some days I feel like this all day long no matter what I'm doing! I'm really scared and I need some reassurance that I'm not the only one going through this feeling! :gasp:
I know that trouble breathing is a symptom of panic.. but what i'm wondering is... are you "actually" having a hard time or does it just "seem" that way?
Hope to hear from someone!
thanks-
