You did a wonderful job of resisting temptation and you really do deserve that reward. Congratulations to you for protecting that Quit!!
Danielle is soooo right. I felt really blue because I had myself convinced that I was being deprived of something I really wanted in the worst way. Fact is, it was the addict in me that was a pitching a fit for a fix. ME, the rational ME, I didn't want one.
Remember, you're in control here. You Quit because you're in charge of your life and your health. You aren't being deprived of anything. Changing your lifestyle is hard, and somewhat depressing, but you can do it. You'll love that new lifestyle. Remember all of those reasons why you quit. They're so important.

A case of the blues is not uncommon among quitters. In your case it may be related to feeling deprived. Rewards take the place of our cigarettes in the beginning of our quits. Having overcome this temptation, you certainly deserve one!

Oh Easter morning. Woke up and layed in bed thinking how much I would love to have a smoke with my cup of coffee. Went to the bathroom and noted that my palms were pink, not red. Noted that my lips were pink, not purple. Dismissed the smoke. Went to our annual Easter picnic and came so close to bumming but didn't. Came home and instead of feeling good about myself, was depressed? Depression is a rarity in my life.

I used step 1 for the first 18 days. I'll use step 2 for 1 week and step 3 for the last week. I will need no more. I smoked for 29 years. I quit for 3 years and smoked for another 2 years. The difference this time is I have this website. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
