Anatis: It's great to see you back -- it's been awhile. I'm so happy you're doing well in your quit.
I was concerned about your peppermint-oil soaked cigarette when you posted about that, but look at you -- you found the way that works best for you.
You're right -- if you wanted to smoke, you could, more easily than most of us who would have to make a conscious effort to go to the store, buy a pack, etc. But you clearly understand yourself and your addiction to be able to say, and mean it, "NOPE".
Well done! And don't be such a stranger, ok?
Keep the faith
Congratulations on a fantastic attitude and a great quit. You have conquered!

Congratulations Anatis.
I like your attitude, I too, quit cold turkey, 101 days ago.
It is so nice to be smoke free.
Keep up whatever it is that you are doing because you are having a lot of success with it.

Still hangin in there.
Still cold turkey and not a patch in sight.
Still abusing the peppermint oil soaked ciggy (LOL! Not often but sometimes.)
Still smoke free.
Things that happened in those 4 months:
Christmas, New Year, Birthday.
My credit card got cloned.
The cat died.
Remortgage.
Job Interviews.
Many full on stress situations that would previously have had me chainsmoking.
Not anymore. :)
To all quitters out there - hang in there. Use whatever works for YOU.
Many people here told me to "OMG toss that ciggy out! Temptation!" when I told about the peppermint oil soaked cigarette I keep.
I'm going to be beligerrant now.
My partner still smokes. There is a full pack of cigarettes lying right next to that old scruffy soaked cigarette of mine.
If I really wanted to, I could smoke.
I am choosing not to.
If I can't walk past a cigarette, no matter what state it's in, without picking it up and smoking it, then I haven't quit.
Think about it.
I've had that cigarette for 4 months.
I want a cigarette sometimes, yes. Then I shrug and get on with things.
That's the difference. It no longer rules me. I rule it.
