Weight Watchers is not so bad. I lost 25 lbs. with them once. And I am going to have to go back there myself soon!!! thanks to everyone for kind words of support. After three days I feel pretty much fine not smoking. Actually, smoking that much in such a short time reminded me of what a disgusting habit it is. I am, however, gaining weight really quickly -- four pounds in three weeks! (I'll deal with that in another thread, but that's really depressing.) I've told my vain self that even if I end up with a 10 pound weight gain, I'll go to Weight Watchers and take it off. Even that awful fate is better than being a smoker. Nomi1 Hello, think of it as your fresh start. You can't necessarily control what your daughter does, you can give her the info and hope she makes the right decision, but you can control what you do. So get back on that horse and lets start again. If you got through the cravings the first time, you can get through them this time. Remember what you did the first time and do it again. And this time, when things get a little hard to handle you will know what to do. GET ON HERE AND TALK TO US BEFORE YOU DECIDE TO SMOKE. We'll tell you no NOPE!! We are all here for you and we all want to help you get through this! Put a smile on your face and lets get started with the FRESH QUIT :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/1/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 34 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 863 Amount Saved: $170 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 15 Mins: 45 Seconds: 25

Might be a bit painful for a few days, but better now than a full-fledge return to smoking and then quitting again. THAT hurts! Keep up the good work. You CAN do it. You just hit a bump in the road. Keep the quit! Nomi1, It is a trick...all in the head. It really is the same old Nico game. It is saying... Ahhhh heck..... mise well throw in the towel!! The mind even does this with diets. You faithfully follow a diet for months and lose some weight. Then you blow it with a piece of cake. Now.. that cake will not put on all that weight you lost. Actually...more than likely you won't gain a thing from that piece of cake. YET... the mind gets the person to say...."I blew my diet with this cake...what the heck I mise well go back to square one"...or worse yet..... throw a good diet to the wind. Don't do it. Figure this: You inhaled 5 cigarettes. Lets say you never lit those cigarettes up...but you were in a room with smoking friends and family for hours on end. Guess what..... you more than likely inhaled just as much smoke...yet you would still think of yourself as an ex smoker. You would never have said to yourself...I breathed in all that smoke so now I am hooked again and back to ground zero! The slip doesn't kill the quit.... but the quilt..low self esteem and thinking you are back to square one WILL. Be proud of 10 weeks... what you learned in 10 weeks and just move on. You deserve what you worked for. Don't let the lies win. They are playing games in your head and that is why your cravings are at a higher level. We're here for you!!! ;) Mercy My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/21/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 73 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 1,469 Amount Saved: $326.31 Life Gained: Days: 9 Hrs: 12 Mins: 43 Seconds: 54

Yes, get back on the train, but now you're really going to have to be prepared for a bad week ahead. By smoking, you let Old Nick sneak back into your head and all his habits with him, and he's gonna put up a heck of a fight to stay. Learn from this, you don't want this to happen again, so now what tools will you need for the next time this stress happens? :) My Milage: My Quit Date: 3/5/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 30 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 751 Amount Saved: $316.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 15 Mins: 6 Seconds: 56

Nomi, Don't beat yourself up. That just makes it harder on you. You're still on track. Like Rusty said, "It's a bump in the road." From what I see, you've already pulled yourself up and are carrying on with your quit. Good for you!!!! This business of dealing with life WITHOUT a smoke is a hard thing to do. Even when we get past the cravings, we still have to figure out how to deal with what life tosses at us without that smoke. We'll get there though. I'll catch you and you catch me. Deal? ;) Hugs, Tutti My Milage: My Quit Date: 2/18/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 45 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 2,027 Amount Saved: $161.55 Life Gained: Days: 4 Hrs: 18 Mins: 28 Seconds: 13
