Clomid Questions

for 20 år siden 0 23 logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo logo 0
Hi all, Believe it or not...yes, 1 year and 3 months. My Doctor said that I didn't have that many eggs to release. Even with the Clomid there were months I still didn't release an egg and then I would have to take another hormone (I don't remember what it was) to start menstruation again. As for why I was egg-less, He never told me why.

Yep, you got it right, Trish! Peace??........How many months did you have to take the clomid before it worked? Gosh, you'd think we were on an infertility website! Hee-Hee! :p

Please correct me somebody if Im wrong but I believe when you ovulate normally only one egg is released each month and there is only a 24-48hr window in which it can be fertilized. With the help of fertility medications, you release more eggs, with chances of having POSSIBLE multiple births, and the time frame window is extended more days to achieve optimum time to increase fertilization during that ovulation period. Hi Peace? Thanks so much for your support. It is good to know these warnings about the side effects. That way I won't panic about them when they come. :) I don't know that much about Clomid yet. This all just came about 2 days ago. I am confused about Clomid making you release more eggs over a longer period of time??? Thanks again. festivefeet <><

Hi Smiley. Thanks so much for your response. I am taking a small dose of Paxil daily. 7.5mg. My doctor may up it back to 10mg if I don't handle pregnancy or the Clomid well. But it sounds like it is a pretty tolerable drug. Not to excited about all the blood draws though. Ugh. I am hoping this is the problem and that I don't have to deal with further invasive testing. Thanks so much for the support. festivefeet <><

Hello, I took Clomid to have my daughter. I wasn't diagnosed with Panic attacks at that time, but I know that I had some weird symptoms that I didn't know what they were (which now sounds like I was having panic.) The only thing that I noticed with taking Clomid was that ovulation pain was greater. As Clomid makes you release more eggs over a longer period of time. I do remember getting hot flashes during this time. But it only lasted for about three days during the cycle and then it subsides. Three of my friends also took it, and complained of the same symptoms. I found these symptoms tollerable as did my friends and wouldn't hesitate again to take it, if I wanted another baby. Hopefully you will be blessed sooner than I was...It took me a year and three months later to conceive my precious little one!

Yes, I'm in the same boat as you. I took clomid about 5 months ago for 2 months. I couldn't even tell I was taking it except for the hot flashes. I am getting ready to start it again along with some other meds this month. Do you take anything for your anxiety? I take 75mgs of zoloft (this is considered pretty safe during pregnancy). But as for the clomid affecting my anxiety, I would have to say no, but since I'm on the zoloft, maybe that is why. I am like you though - I get scared to take meds but the zoloft keeps that fear at bay. Hope this helps and good luck with the "baby-making". Just try to tell yourself the med will help you have a little bundle of joy soon!!! Have you visited www.sheknows.com/pregnancy? This is a great website with message boards for people going thru infertility. I visit it daily.

Hi. This is kind of a strange question... My husband and I are dealing with infertility right know (which really isn't helping the anxiety much) and we are just starting the process of going through testing. The ball has begun to roll . Which is good. But the testing and meds that they may put me on make me leery. Taking new medication always makes me leery. Has anyone in this group taken Clomid? If so how did it effect you and your anxiety/panic? I want to take it to help us conceive but the "what ifs" are sometimes hard to deal with. Especially with all of the side effects. Trying to stay positive. festivefeet <><
