Hello, Tilly! It sound's tough but you are going to make it through. I am only starting day 3, so I know I'm not an expert non- smoker. I find lip balm helpful in replacing the nasty cigarette. Just hold the lip balm as if it were a smoke & with each irritating craving, moisturize your lips. Seems to work for me so far. Take Care of yourself & stay strong. I'm bilingual... Brit transplanted to America :) YOu are doing great! Much braver than me. As I said in another post I forgot to put my patch oon and soon as I realised... well it was on in less than 10 seconds I swear. Keep doing what you're doing and when you get home tonight give yourself a nice reward. N.O.P.E. Hello you great people and thank you for your support! Well, I'll tell you how I coped (cringe!!) I fished my old patch out of the bin and popped it under my (cringe!!) bra so it would connect with my skin (how sick is that). Anyway was in a panic so over compensated by chewing toffees and eating crisps and feeling fat - oh dear - but somehow made it through the afternoon although it was stressful at work. Went home before going shopping and popped on a new (14mg) patch. When I was doing weekly shop I suddenly had an out of body experience - wierd! This happened a few times and I had to keep stopping. Then I though oh it must be because I've suddenly put this patch on then...ta da.. the realisiation....I had another patch under my bloomin bra (which I had forgotten about and thought would have no effect anyway cos it was 24 hours old so I over ate to compensate)so I must have been overdosing on nicotene and that was why I felt so strange. I think there must be a lesson in here somewhere. Even though the old patch must still have been putting nitocene in my body, because I thought it wasn't I went into a flat spin - what an idiot! I hope you are still awake if you are reading this. The most important thing is still NOT ONE PUFF after 31 days and thank you for making your posts s interesting I could not have stopped without you. Think I need a lie down after all that (but I can't cos I'm at work and better get some done!) luv Tilly :0)

Hello everyone, I know you've had a similar post to this before but here goes....I'm at work at the moment (11.30 am) and about half an hour ago I took off my 21mg patch to try and change to 14mg but then realised I had left them at home!!! I could nip out to a chemist (drug store) but they are more expensive than a supermarket and as I am going for weekly shop tonight I am going to see if I can go cold turkey until I buy them them tonight - thought it would me get through the rest of day if I wrote this. Drinking lots of water and eating lots of jelly babies (fat free) and chewing toffees and suffering but then I keep thinking hang on, why am I suffering - because I can't suck on a dirty and disguting cancer stick like a slave! Sorry to ramble on, it just helps....hope you understand my UK speak luv Tilly :confuse: My Milage: My Quit Date: 1/8/2007 Smoke-Free Days: 31 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 344 Amount Saved: 139.5 Life Gained: Days: 3 Hrs: 1 Mins: 1 Seconds: 32
