This time I need help

Shana,I've done things like that before too. I was in church a couple of weeks ago and we were singing a hymn and it seemed like we had just started when everyone was finished and sat down. I leaned over to my son and asked him did we skip some verses and he said no we sang the whole song. but I felt really confused and couldn't remember singing two whole verses. Our minds get so filled up with worry and anxiety and that is all we are focused on,and we don't even realize that several minutes have passed. we are going through the motions of functioning and going about our daily tasks but our minds aren't in it. It's ok and nothing to worry about, the panic is making you feel more worried about it then you should.

Shana, don't let this bother you! It happens to me, in fact yesterday I had a good bout with confusion at work. All of a sudden I was driving past my deliveries, couldn't type on the computer worth a flip, words came out backwards or totally wrong. Usually this is enough to make me panic, but yesterday I told myself that, hey, everyone is a little 'off' from time to time and this will pass. And it did. I didn't spend any time trying to figure out why it was happening, I told myself that if it went on for hours, THEN I would try to figure it out. Of course it only lasted a short time, and it was probably because I was working for 13 hours! This happens to everyone, just like Trish said. And she said that she would laugh it off, which is what I did. I was talking on my cell phone to another driver and everything I said was messed up, so I just started making fun of my twisted tongue and we had a good laugh. Panic makes you take otherwise normal events and turn them into something to worry about. Don't let it, laugh it off, it happens to the whole world.

Shana, Please please dont dwell on this. This by far is something that happens to everyone. I have caught myself doing it, and vice versa with someone else talking to me. And believe me, we just laughed it off, saying "Geesh, I was just talking to my husband",etc and they laughed with me. It would be different and taking differently only if you said their name with a pause and then " I love you", not that would be something to worry over. Once while working I answered the phone at work, and this guy was talking to me, saying What are you doing?, I said Oh just working. Then he started asking me what was wrong, I said nothing was wrong, he then said Why are you so short with me? I said what? Im not. Then he said is this Phyllis? I said no, he started laughing, as Phyllis was my coworker, and I was trying to figure out who I was talking too, and he thought I was his wife, and was wondering why I wasnt merrily talking to him on the phone. It happens more often than you think! Trish

Wow, that is embarrassing. Are you sure you aren't in love with this officer, and it just kind of slipped out? Well, do what I was advised to do... think of this person logically, it sounds like you already explained what happened...and hopefully if he makes mistakes sometimes too, he will understand....

Okay, usually I am always the one able to help others and I find myself needing help tonight. Today at work I was so confused. I actually told one of the officers I was on the phone with I love you before hanging up. I had been on the phone with my mother just seconds before talking to him, and somehow became disoriented and thought I was talking to her when I was getting off the phone. Well, needless to say that was so embarrasing. I apologized to him, but can't shake this feeling right now that things aren't real and I feel so confused. I don't know what to do. Anyone ever experience this? Any answers?
