What a sweet post and very empathetic! I'm going to keep this mind (though my husband is quit too), we deserve at least to sleep together ;)
Seriously, very nice.

As I was sitting her thinking about my 1 month reward next week (because it's all about me and shopping), I realized that that it wasn't just about me. My husband has been just wonderful the last three weeks and has taken the slaps (not literally) and turned the other cheek. He was sympathatic to my sock basket from hell delema (why can't socks just pair themselves with their own mate, why do I have to do it). Even though he didn't understand why we needed $50 in hot tea packet's, he purchased them anyway. So next week, when I get my reward, I'm going to get a little something for him. No, Phil, not a twister game.....lol, but a surprise to just say thanks. Just wanted to share with everyone. Besides, I'm getting low on Tea, and he is going to have to shell out another $50.00 :eg:

I just got off the phone with the hubby and invited him out for a pitcher of beer and a burger tomorrow night. My treat....he laughed!! He didn't think I was serious...or he thought I was trying to trick him, get him alone in the car so that I could beat him up some more....lol....Oh what I have done to the poor boy! I like wearing the pants in the family this time, it's kind of empowering. ;)

'Morning Kait,
You are so right !
Our significant other's or someone very close to us who has supported us and taken our crazzzzzzzzziness..lol.. through our quit should certainly be rewarded as well :)
Today is my 30 day quit -- and inspite of all the bad things with my dad going on I still plan on taking hubby out to celebrate my quit. He rarely gets out, but if planned properly it works out :)
Have a super day Kait, and thank you for all of your support.. you are my gem!

That is so sweet! Makes me feel a little guilty about complaining about my hubby, because, in reality, he is a gem. I have been much too selfish. What an excellent idea--thanx! :)

Kaitilina, that is a wonderful idea!!
Our spouses/significant others really take the brunt of all our quit emotions. This has got to be frustrating, worrisome, and sometimes downright disturbing to them, especially those who have never smoked. Rewarding them for their love, patience, understanding, and tolerance is a wonderful idea.
How 'bout it, folks? Let's hear some ideas for rewards for those who support us the closest?
I think tickets to a concert by my wife's favorite country artist is in order.
Keep up the great quits, everyone. :)

Kait,
Rewarding my sweetheart? This idea is not new to me and is not uniquely linked to quitting smoking; I like to think I do it as a matter of course but to be absolutely sure of that I would need a certain lady to comment accordingly!!! Do as you see fit and reward him too!!
As for your socks issue, my 17-year-old daughter always wears odd socks as a fashion statement, as do many of her friends. Sure makes pairing them up unnecessary and, off course, she never has an odd one of anything! :)
