Thanks Windy.
I got my reward, after all I saved $76.00 by not smoking. This is good .I would much rather spend the money on something I can wear or enjoy, what ever, instead of seeing ot go up in smoke.
Again Thanks everyone for your support.

Today has been a bad day. I can't stop thinking about smoking. Why after more than 2 weeks? The first few days were not bad, then I cried for a week, this week didn't cry as much, but today is a bad one. This morning wasn't bad , but as time went on I stared thinking about those stupid smokes.I want a smoke so bad. Sometimes I think, I can't do this anymore. But then I start thinking about all the bad things about it.I used to smoke outside, I don't want to do that anymore. I don't want to spend the money on them anymore.I'm not caughing, plus I'm sleeping sooooo much better.I don't want to have to think about making sure I got my cigarettes with me when I go out somewhere. I want to be a non smoker, like most of my friends are.So why do I want one? Thinking about why do i want one, makes me more depressed.Does that make any sense? Does anyone feel the same way? :confuse:

Your welcome Greenette,
The great thing about this site is all the support and information we can share with each other so it doesn't make quitting quite so scary. I'm not scared anymore, and that gives me energy to fight any cravings or trigger's that may pop up for today. I'll deal with tomorrow when I wake up in the morning, but today I'm strong, and I'm smoke free. I LOVE being smoke free!!! Congrat's to you and keep posting!!

Greenette,
I have found that a change in my routine or a different activity will bring on the "thoughts" of smoking and make me think of cigerette's. For example...My son had a pee-wee basketball game this past Saturday morning...first time since I have been quit...well, normally, I would drop him off at the door, then drive around the block and have a cig before I went in. I was so surprised that I actually thought about a cig at that point. We are going to have those trigger's of all the "firsts" that we in the past would associate with smoking. I just reminded myself that I could just park the car and go in and how great it was I didn't have to waste gas and drive around the block. Your doing great, just take it one craving and one trigger at a time, it does get better.

Hi Greenette,
You are doing a wonderful job with your quit.
My best advice to you is to keep as busy as possible..Lots of distractions and make up a list of "things to do" and post that list in a place that you pass frequently. I have my list posted in almost every room including taped to my washroom mirror. If I get overwhelmed or a crave comes on sometimes I get so into the crave that the list screams out to me what I can do until it (the crave) passes. Sometimes we don't think all that clearly when going through the crave. One of the most important "things" on my list is to come here and post. If I didn't have all of these wonderful people to read and respond with their wisdom, their encouragement and support I would have caved a long time ago!
We're here for you .. post often and read read read!
(((((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))

Wowee! Congrats on over 2 weeks and on the new boots - rewards are so important during our quit! The quitting process is sometimes abit of a rollercoaster - the good news is that it WILL get better!
