Hi, Mookie. Hang on! Take a breath and a walk or something to get some blood flowing and hopefully give your mind a break. Like everyone said and of course, you know it's true, it will get better. Hang in there Mookie. I know what you're going through, and am faced with the same feelings. Just keep fighting and know that one day you'll look back at this and feel much pride. I was sitting in my car at lunch thinking about how easy it would be to go get a pack, and then thought about how hard it would be to live with myself, and to tell my family that I couldn't do it. That was enough to keep me out of the smoke store. Take care.... Mookie, Yeah, me too! In the early days of quitting, I found it very hard to cope with cravings & sleepiness at mid day, after lunch. A nap, if you could afford, is an ideal solution! :) Gonna: Try roasted peanuts mixed in red chili powder! Boy! It's hot. It burns the tongue. It numbs the mouth. And ... it surely kills any cravings for cigarettes .... ! :) Cheers, nmc My Milage: My Quit Date: 8/25/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 75 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 758 Amount Saved: $375 Life Gained: Days: 14 Hrs: 2 Mins: 9 Seconds: 3

Me too! A bit blue... So, I treated myself to a Dr. Pepper, chili and fries from Wendy's. I just love to dunk the fries in the chili. **Don't tell anyone, but I have a frosty hidden in the fridge for a late afternoon snack!** ;) My Milage: My Quit Date: 9/8/2006 Smoke-Free Days: 61 Cigarettes Not Smoked: 3,077 Amount Saved: $488 Life Gained: Days: 6 Hrs: 7 Mins: 58 Seconds: 34

Hang on. Sorry you lost your quit, but you came back and that is good. I lost my quit also, so I am on day 2. Someone on this site said to hug your craves. I tried it. I hug myself and told the crave I care for myself today and I am squeezing you to death  Sounds silly, but whatever it takes. See you in the morning. I had forgotten how exhausting it is to go through withdrawal. Will take a nap soon and just try to relax and do some deep breathing. Bowling is my passion and it certainly helps with the anger and hostility bottled up inside. I'm trying to exercise a little more and stay busy. My partner is using the patch and is doing well. I dont notice any changes in her behavior or attitude but maybe I'm too focused on my own withdrawal to notice. I know it will get better but its toughgoing through this right now. Starting to feeling like crying now. YUK Mook
