Frodac,
Everyone is different with their symptoms, some are tired, and some can't sleep. Some are angry and some cry. Some get sores in their mouth, some get rashes from the patch. I think at this point anything can happen. I'm 6 weeks in and have made an appointment next week to follow up with the doc on a few minor ailments, and I think what Josie says rings true. It's important to keep in contact with our doc's as we go through this just to make sure what we are experiencing is normal, or if there is something not quite right, we can fix it right away and feel a little better.
Hang in there, you are really doing great!!!! I look at all the little aches, pains, headaches as reminder's that my body is healing (of course under doctor's care too).

I am about two months quit right now and still feeling a bit edgy, angry, depressed. I think it will pass because I believe it has passed in the past when I've quit for long periods of time. I think it is exactly as you say, you reach a long, gradual grind point in the quit where it isn't like you really feel like smoking all the time but it's more like you're just not 100% back to your old, normal brain chemistry self yet.
I do know it gets better, though.

I get up in the morning and also I feel very poorly. I have smoked for 25 years and felt this way toward the end of my smoking career so that was a factor in getting me to quit. I used to light up first thing and find as time passes I don't miss that first one of the day. I am just wondering if I have hit the plateau as far as feeling big changes and am now just getting into the grind of feeling better a little bit each day. In other words is it common after a period to fall of the pink cloud and see less of the big changes than before. I don't know if anybody has felt the same way. I would definitely not go back to smoking. And would welcome any feedback

Hi frodac
I wish I had kept a journal...because sometimes it's hard to remember the journey. While there were times when I was bursting with excitement, there were also periods of time when I was just exhausted.
Adding a little exercise to each day helps with the energy. I think there will be many changes ahead for you just not as dramatic.
All the best!

Hi Frodac, it seems to me that we all have different journeys. I didn't have a pink cloud......in fact I found the first 30 days the worst.
But you have got to grin when you look at your stats.....over 1000 not smoked!!!!!! Whoopeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Mine don't look so impressive as they are cigars.....but I did work out the other day that the empty boxes would be over 4 meters tall if I stacked them all together.........
Maybe this is why I'm the mad englishman.......I mean.....who else would work out something like that.
However you feel....the fact remains that you are marching towards good health and cheer.....Happy Christmas. Brent

frodac,
Your body is in the process of healing and it will take some time. Smoking masks problems and they can come to the surface when you quit :)
This is a symptom, but you may want to check with your doctor to rule out anything medical.
Are you getting enough sleep? Are you over exhausting yourself during the day? Take the time to discuss this with your doctor :)
Keep Strong,
Josie
