I have to agree with what everyone else is saying here. I am on wellbutrin to help with depression as well. Working with our family doctor, we actually found out that depression runs very strong in our family genes. When I first quit smoking, there were things that I said that even I coulnd't believe I was saying, let alone my wife having to put up with my mood swings. Once I got on Wellbutrin, it took a good month for me to start feeling like myself again. Now it has been over two months of Wellbutrin and over 100 days of not smoking, along with just over 30 days of running 1 to 2 miles everyday and lifting every other day and I feel like the best I have ever felt.
At least for me, after discussing with my Doc, I may have to stay on some type of depression medication for the rest of my life, whether it's Wellbutrin or some other type in the future.
Always check with your doctor before going off the medication, and I would suggest that if you do, make a 30 day appointment with them after going off it, so they can do a general check up.
Good Luck
