Hello everyone and thank you for all of your kinds words.
How can a person get there? Do not dwell on the smoking urges that come your way. They will pass in a few seconds or minutes. Think about other things, take a walk, chew on a carrot or celery stick, take 3 or 4 slow deep breaths, drink some water. I remember I used to love to smoke when driving a car. Replace that urge and grab a bottle of water to take with you. As I remember the first 5 to 7 days are the worst, two weeks gets easier. If you can, stay away from people who smoke for the first month. When you get the urge, tell it to go away, dont bother me.
Take it hour by hour, day by day. The days will begin to turn into two days between urges, 3 day.. and so on. It can be done and you can do it. Just look at the list of people on this web page who have done it, all the money they have save, and all the longer they will live a healthier life for it.
