Every now and then someone comes out with a new treatment. Be alert though. More often than not, these meet the criteria of slick marketing rather than genuinely researched results.

tahnks trish and all for replying i really like the advice you give and its always appreciated. im really moving on and its pleasing i can see a light at the end of the tunnel now. yesterday i attended a course through work ( mental health). they mentioned something called EMDR and how this is a new alternative to dealing with problems with phobias and panic attacks. i dont know to much about this. has anyone gone through this treatment ao are thinking about it. also i need some information about it. good luck all and keep persevering we will overcome this laspe in life or awakening as i like to call it. the more u put in the more we get out of the cycle of panic/anxiety/negative thoughts. thank u bern

Bern, Your doing wonderful!!! You have made tremendous progresses. It takes awhile to completely get those thoughts out of the back of our minds. Yes keep the positive thoughts in, but also practice your coping skills, self talk, breathing, relaxation, even after you master this. This will also offset relapses, or let those thoughts creep back in. Think back whenever you did have a relapse, was it because you felt so comfortable, you didnt continue your medicine, or your daily relaxation skills, positive thinking. This applies to anyone with or without panic attacks. If you lead a hectic pace life of jobs, etc. Everyone needs to just take a breather and collect themselves. Identify those stressor times, and if you continue to keep practicing these skills, after you have mastered all fears, you will be better prepared to handle the stress triggers, if one should arises, that the thoughts will not be complusive to worrying yourself. I applaud you so much and look forward to reading your posts, as you have accomplished alot, and have shown a good attitude to keep stepping further to overcome your fears. God Bless, Trish

hi my names bern and ive been suffering from panic/anxiety attacks for the past 8 months. iv been getting on better recently and have had days where ive had no problems of symtoms of anxiety. this is great and shows through hard work and setting goals, anxiety can be reduced and confidence is rebuilt into our lives, slowly and gradually. the problem i have because of past relaspes, this fear stays in my mind and when i do get twinges of anxiety this scares me to death, in fact the feelings are of death( fear of dying)unreality etc..) i know i must think positive and focus and change the thought process but its hard and demanding. mostly i get these twinges when im tired, my sleep pattern is better but this stops certain parts of my life because i need to sleep, so decreaing the anxiety. does anyone feel the same as they improved and what did u do to overcome these remaining fears. thanku u to all on this site bern
