Ive bloody relapsed again after a couple of beers with the boys last night ,then bought a packet this morning on the way to work.Im that angry at myself its not funny.Ive reset my meter to quit on Monday after the weekend but this is my second relapse in three weeks.Am i wasting my time ????????? I so want to be a non smoker, the desire is there but maybe im too weak !!!!! i dont know.I think about the benefits all the time and i mean it consumes me thinking about it and then i go 7days the firsttime and 5 days this time and i blow it.I even bought myself rewards for not smoking,what a waste of money !! Firstly what a great site,for all the newbies if you get a chance look back on all the old posts as well because there are some deadset ripper reads there.Things are going ok today,have had some intense craves etc but have tried to keep busy with ANYTHING. I find it really hard to imagine getting to milestones such as 1 month,3 months 1 year etc at the moment but so many of you have done it and i want to join that club !!! Don't give up, Super. What have been the triggers? Quit now, not later. Don't wait until you old, like me, or really old, like Phil. Seriously, though, you demonstrate that you want to quit. If you didn't you wouldn't be back here after two slips. You're nearly through a week on two occasions. Right at the end of that first week is about as bad as it gets in my estimation. If drinking is a trigger, avoid it for a month or so. Get past 3 weeks and you'll be a lot stronger. Also, each time you slip, you'll learn. Keep a positive attitude and don't forget that it does get better. You were not born with a nicoteine defficiency. When you were 10 years old, you were happy without cigarettes. You can be that way again but it takes time. So just accept that it is going to be hard for a while, you are going to be an angry bastard for a while, you're going to have cravings, etc. ACCEPT and let it go by you. Ride it out, keep putting one foot in front of the next. Keep moving along. Keep reaching out. There are sunny skies far down the road - but not so far that you can't reach them.
